GPay which is known as one of the best online payment app will shut down in the US from June 4, 2024, to embrace the future with Google Wallet. This shift highlights the importance of creating a versatile platform that streamlines transactions and integrates seamlessly with emerging technologies.

This decision of Google also sets the stage for a future where digital wallets like Google Wallet, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay become the gateway to immersive digital experiences. So, if you still use the GPay app to manage your payment services in the US then switch to a new platform before it gets too late.

Google says you can use the US version of the Google Pay app until June 4, 2024, to view and transfer your Google Pay balance to your bank account. If you still have money or cashback rewards in GPay after that date, you’ll need to access and transfer any remaining funds using the Google Pay website.

In addition to the GPay App, Google is also eliminating peer-to-peer payments that let you send, request, or receive money from others in the US. However, the move to shut down the GPay app is just for the US. While Google still supports its Pay app in India and Singapore.
