Before pouring water, all three phones have gone through an initial checking phase. The testing ensured that basic features like speakers, cameras, and charging ports were functional. Later, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Pixel 8 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max were submerged in a box filled with water.

Once the water turned to ice, the devices were brought back to normal/usable state. Further, all the basic functions that were tested before freezing got tested again to check the results. Ultimately, they all passed without showcasing any noticeable issues.
