Apple iPhone 16 Pro

Samsung is reportedly planning to remove the Plus model from its upcoming Galaxy S26 series and may add a new Edge model instead. Similarly, Apple is also expected to replace the Plus model in its iPhone 17 series with a new Air model. In addition to these changes, Apple is preparing to launch its first foldable iPhone next year, with plans to release a new foldable model each year moving forward.

According to the ETNews, Apple is working on a foldable iPhone, which is expected to be released next year. This will be a big change in Apple’s strategy, as the company plans to launch a new foldable iPhone every year.

Apple is currently selecting the materials and parts it will need to make its foldable device. This will be the first foldable iPhone from Apple.

Samsung is currently the leader in the foldable phone market. Although foldable phones are only 2% of the global smartphone sales but the market is slowly growing as Chinese companies like Huawei and Honor launch new models.

Apple is working on making its foldable iPhone different from Samsung’s. For that, Apple is focusing on improving the crease to make it less noticeable. The company is also trying to improve the hinge.

Moreover, Apple’s foldable phone is expected to have a screen size of 7-8 inches and will fold inward. The company might release the foldable phone as a completely new type of device, rather than just another foldable phone

The release of Apple’s foldable iPhone is expected to make the foldable phone market grow, and might give strong competition to Samsung’s Galaxy foldable phones.

Samsung Galaxy S25

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE could be equipped with an upgraded selfie camera. A new report suggests that the company is considering bringing a new front camera to its next Fan Edition smartphone.

According to GalaxyClub, Samsung Galaxy S25 FE may feature a 12-megapixel selfie camera. It’s an upgrade over the 10-megapixel sensor used in the Galaxy S23 FE and S24 FE.

Samsung debuted the Galaxy S20 FE and S21 FE with 32-megapixel selfie cameras. With the Galaxy S23 FE, the company debuted a new 10-megapixel solution, which was retained in the S24 FE.

If the report is accurate, the Galaxy S25 FE would match the S25 series models in front camera. The flagship models come with a 12-megapixel sensor for clearer and sharper selfies.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Camera Specs

While no specific sensor details were shared, the S25 FE’s potential front camera is highly likely to be the same as the company has used in the rest of the Galaxy S25 lineup, including the S25 Edge.

With an upgraded front camera, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 FE will capture better and sharper selfies than its predecessor, while the software optimization will bring shots closer to the S25 flagship.

Earlier reports suggest that the rear camera configuration of the S25 FE may remain the same as the S24 FE. The primary camera could feature 50-megapixel resolution, accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultrawide and an 8-megapixel telephoto.

The S25 FE may be equipped with the Exynos 2400e chip. The company is also considering MediaTek Dimensity 9400 as a backup solution. The Fan Edition smartphone is expected to be unveiled in the fourth quarter of the year.

With S25 Edge unveiled, Galaxy S26 Edge already in Samsung’s pipeline; there’s bad news as well!

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

Samsung has just launched its slimmest smartphone yet, the Galaxy S25 Edge. Soon after the launch, early details about its next model, the Galaxy S26 Edge, have already started to emerge.

The Korean tech giant is reportedly planning a big change for its upcoming Galaxy S26 series. The company may replace the current “Plus” model with a new, slimmer “Edge” model with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series next year.

Sources from Samsung’s supply partners say that the company has started early development of the Galaxy S26 series. The project name is “NPA”, while the project name for the Galaxy S25 series was PA.

The upcoming Galaxy S lineup is expected to have three models: Standard, Edge, and Ultra. Until now, Samsung’s S series usually came in Standard, Plus, and Ultra versions. But the Plus model hasn’t been selling as well as the other two.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

Samsung plans to ship a total of 37.7 million Galaxy S25 phones this year. Out of these, the Plus model has the lowest target at just 6.7 million units. In comparison, the Standard model is expected to ship 13.6 million units, while the Ultra leads with 17.4 million. This suggests that Samsung set a lower goal for the Plus model, likely due to its weaker sales in previous years.

Interestingly, Apple is facing the same issue with its Plus model and plans to replace it with a slim version starting from the iPhone 17.

If the new Galaxy S25 Edge doesn’t sell well, Samsung might not move forward with replacing the Plus model. This could mean that the Edge version might disappear, and the old Plus model could return in the Galaxy S26 series.

However, Samsung has made the S25 Edge tougher by using Corning’s new Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. This makes the phone not just slim but also strong. Now, how well the Galaxy S25 Edge sells will help decide what Samsung does next with the Galaxy S26 series.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Fold6 Size Comparison

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is shaping up to be a notable upgrade over the Z Fold6 as recent mockups and leaks reveal changes in dimensions and screen size, hinting at a refined design.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 measures 153.5 mm tall, 132.6 mm wide, and 5.6 mm thick when unfolded. When folded, it’s 153.5 mm tall, 68.1 mm wide, and 12.1 mm thick. Its cover screen is 6.3 inches, and the inner screen is 7.6 inches.

Unfolded, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 will likely measure 158.4 mm tall, 143.1 mm wide, and an impressive 3.9 mm thin. Folded, it retains the 158.4 mm height, with a width of 73.4 mm and a thickness of 8.9 mm.

The Galaxy Z Fold7’s cover screen is rumored to be 6.5 inches, up from 6.3 inches on the Z Fold6. The inner screen grows to 8.2 inches, compared to the Z Fold6’s 7.6-inch panel, promising more display space.

Source – PandaFlashPro/XCompared to the Z Fold6, the Z Fold7’s unfolded form is taller, wider, and notably thinner. When folded, it’s still taller and slightly wider but shaves off over 3 mm in thickness, improving portability.

The Z Fold7’s thinner profile could make it easier to carry, while larger screens enhance productivity; however, these specs are based on leaks, so final details may vary.

The Galaxy S25 Edge, a sleek addition to the S25 series, will be unveiled at an online-only event in the US tonight. Samsung’s teaser points to a sleek yet lightweight design, a 200 MP camera, and exceptional performance.

Today’s online event is scheduled for May 13, at 9 AM Korea time, 8 PM on May 12 in New York City, US, and 5:30 AM on May 13 in India. This event will likely focus on the device’s hardware, but software updates could also be highlighted.

Historically, Samsung has used flagship launches to highlight software features, such as new One UI versions or Beta Programs.
