Samsung releases list of monthly/quarterly/biannual security update models: January 2024

Samsung April 2024 patch details

Samsung has updated its security update plan for January 2024, which shows the list of Galaxy devices that will receive monthly and quarterly security updates. Along with the device list, the company has released the details of this latest patch.

According to Samsung’s scope page, the January 2024 security patch plan includes Monthly Security updates for 41 devices, Quarterly Security Updates for 58 devices, and Biannual Security Updates for 48 devices. Like every month, the fresh plan for this month also reveals that some devices have been added, removed, or demoted from the previous month’s plan.

January 2024 Security Patch Details

January 2024 security patch fixes over 75 issues including 1 critical, 68 high, and 6 moderate levels of CVEs for the Android operating system. However, 1 CVE was resolved by previous updates from the company and 4 is not relevant to Galaxy devices.

Aside from this, Samsung released an Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update to a bunch of Galaxy devices and will release this major update to the remaining devices soon. In addition, the company is going to release One UI 6.1 with the Galaxy S24.

Sketch to Image

With Sketch to Image, you can transform any photo into a unique piece of art. You can add objects to your photos to beautify your travel moments and create a more unique narrative. Your photo will look even more beautiful with visual touches processed by Galaxy AI.

Here’s how:

  1. Open the Gallery and select the photo you want to add objects to.
  2. Tap on “Sketch to Image.”

Recently, Samsung accidentally revealed new features and improvements of the upcoming Android 15-based One UI 7 update. Now, new features and fresh UI changes of the One UI 7 Samsung Calculator surfaced online.

Samsung Calculator app is known for its simple design, and the One UI 7 version doesn’t bring many changes. However, there are a few noticeable tweaks that you can check on your phone if you are using a Galaxy smartphone running One UI 6 or later.

With One UI 7, the numbers, symbols, and text are now larger to make them easier to read. Apart from that, the overall look and layout of the app are very similar to the previous version of One UI 6.

Moreover, Samsung Calendar is also getting a new icon with One UI 7. The new icon features a color scheme of green, black, and gray. This icon includes three symbols – Add, minus, and equal to.

Samsung moves closer to One UI 7 Beta release for Galaxy S24

Samsung Galaxy S24 series is likely to be the first to get the Android 15 update with One UI 7. It’s now December 2024, and a new One UI 7 build has been spotted for the Galaxy S24 Ultra on the test server, Checkfirm. Samsung had announced that they would release a beta version by the end of the year, and this new build shows it’s almost here.

Reports suggest that Samsung is currently progressively working on the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series. The latest version has changed from ZXKV to ZXKY. The new build shows that Samsung is giving the final touch before rolling out the update. This also means the beta version is very close to being available for users to test.

One UI 7 update will bring a host of new features, including improved user interface design, performance upgrades, and new customization options. It will fully revamp the interface to provide a clearer and simpler look.
