Samsung Galaxy S24 Design Shift: Flat Frame vs Rounded Edges
Samsung will introduce the next-gen Galaxy S smartphones early next year. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus are likely to bring design shifts, as revealed by a reliable leakster. Ahead of the unveiling, we compare the differences between the design of Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 smartphones.
Rounded Edges
On the other hand, rounded edges involve curved sides of the Galaxy S flagships including the Galaxy S23, S22, and S21. Since this design approach creates a more organic and ergonomic feel, some users prefer a flat frame for a better feel and some additional advantages.

Rounded frame design is often associated with a comfortable grip and a natural fit in the hand. Moreover, it can enhance the overall user experience by making the phone easier to hold for a longer period, as compared to a flat frame design.
Flat Frame
The arrival of a flat frame in the Samsung Galaxy S24 represents a shift in the physical aesthetics and ergonomics of the device. Renders reveal that the edges of the S24 device are more angular and squared-off, resulting in a flatter and more geometric look.

Ultimately, we can assume that Samsung is adopting Apple’s design strategy for its next flagship lineup. The iPhone-like flat frame design could be coming to the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus. This approach can offer a sleek and modern appearance to the devices.
Design Evolution – Flat Frame vs Rounded Edges
Samsung’s decision apparently focuses on fulfilling users’ demand for flagship design. If the rendering is correct, Samsung Galaxy S24’s flat frame design will deliver an enhanced and tactile experience of holding and using the phone.
In addition, the transition from rounded edges to flat frames can also contribute to a distinctive and recognizable look for the Galaxy S24, setting it apart from previous models. Some users may appreciate the modern look of a flat frame, while others may prioritize the comfort/grip offered by rounded edges.
