Samsung rolled out the latest Android security patch for Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones in Europe and China. Now, the company is expanding the August 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series in the US.

The update is rolling out for both unlocked and locked variants of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 smartphones in the US. The company will soon expand this update to more countries.

August 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra can be identified via PDA version N98xUSQS5HWG8 for locked models and N98xU1UES5HWG6 for unlocked ones.

The fresh software fixes over 70 issues related to Samsung Members, the Internet, the Galaxy Store, and more to provide a seamless and bug-free experience. In addition, it improves the system security, stability, and performance of the device.

To install the update, you just need to visit Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.

Samsung has begun releasing the May 2024 security update for the Galaxy Tab S9 series. The update is available in Europe and the company will soon make it available in more countries.

Samsung is expanding the May 2024 security update for Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones in India. The update comes with fixes for several vulnerabilities and improves the stability for better performance.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones are receiving a May 2024 update in India with One UI builds mentioned below.

  • Galaxy S23 – S911BXXS5CXDE
  • Galaxy S23 Plus – S916BXXS5CXDE
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra – S918BXXS5CXDE
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5 – F731BXXS2CXE2

According to the official details, the May 2024 patch fixes 45 vulnerabilities, out of which Google has addressed 33. It includes 3 vulnerabilities as Critical and 26 as High-level. The patch also has 25 Samsung-specific enhancements.

It is just an incremental update, so it does not bring new features or changes except security maintenance. The update is rolling out gradually so it may take some time to reach all models.

Users can check for the update manually by going to Settings >> Software update >> Download and install. If you have received the update then you can install it by following the on-screen instructions.
