Brazil: Samsung Wallet gains support for Mercado Pago cards alongside Google Pay
Following the recent announcement, Mercado Pago debit and credit cards can be registered on Samsung Wallet and Google Pay. This way, consumers will be able to pay for their purchases using their smartphone or smartwatch, in a practical and safe way.
Registering your Mercado Pago debit and credit card on Samsung Wallet and Google Pay is very simple. Access the digital bank App and, in the card area, add the Mercado Pago card to the digital wallets. Be sure to update your favorite app to the latest version on Galaxy/Play Store.

Google launches Imagen 3 and Veo: Generative AI Image, Video model
Google today introduced its most advanced generative AI image and video model – Imagen 3 and Veo.

The company announced Imagen 3, which is Google DeepMind’s most capable image generation model yet. It understands user prompts the way people write, creates more photorealistic images, and is our best model for rendering text.

Starting today, Imagen 3 is available for select creators as a private preview inside ImageFX, and you can sign up to join the waitlist. Besides, it will be available in multiple versions, each optimized for different types of tasks, from generating quick sketches to high-resolution images.
Veo
Google also unveiled DeepMind’s Veo, which is an advanced generative video model. The company says users will be able to create and edit HQ videos over 60 seconds in different visual styles through just text, image, or video prompts.

Pay attention, VideoFX is an experimental tech, which lets you generate your synthetic videos. The company notes that videos may display inaccurate information, including about people. Besides, generated videos and prompt suggestions are still experimental.

Samsung is committed to raise investment in Vietnam
Samsung reiterated its commitment to raising investment in Vietnam. The company’s Chief Financial Officer recently met the Prime Minister of the country, ensuring him towards investment plans.
According to reports, Samsung pledged to boost its annual investment in Vietnam by $1 billion. This announcement showcases the company further strengthening ties with Vietnam responsible for half of its smartphone output.
Since Vietnam plays a pivotal role in the operations of Samsung, the official expressed hopes that the country’s business environment would continue to improve. Chinh also requested Park to help local firms enter Samsung’s supply chain.
In return, the Vietnamese PM confirmed to help Samsung do business in the country. The country is reportedly considering reforms to its business environment, administrative process, and regulations important.
Park said during the meeting that Samsung Electronics has already invested $22.4 billion in Vietnam so far and incorporated a total of 309 Vietnamese companies into its supply chain, a more than 12-fold increase from 2014.
