Samsung Galaxy S24 to equip stacked battery tech
This August, Samsung’s expected to launch next-gen foldable phones and flagship tablets along with wearable products. Meanwhile, report indicates that Samsung could use the stacked battery tech featured in electric cars on the Galaxy S24 series.
According to TheElec report, Samsung SDI is looking to carry over stacked battery tech from electric cars to the smartphone business. This technology brings higher energy density, resulting in higher capacity without increment in size.
Samsung strictly maintains the policy of not bringing upgrades, which cause increased thickness, weight, and so on. Therefore, the stacked battery tech could become a great option for Samsung to bring upgraded batteries of the same size and weight.
On the other hand, the company might also stick to the same capacity on future flagships but with reduced size, thanks to the stacked battery technology. This way, smartphones would get additional space, which can be used for other upgrades/improvements.
As we are about 10 months away from the tentative launch of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung would be getting enough time for research and development, and testing of components prior to applying the stacked battery tech.
The stacking method can increase energy density by over 10% to this prior method. SDI division reportedly preps to apply the method for small batteries aimed at phones, tablets, notebooks, and other consumer electronics devices.
Samsung can never forget the exploding Galaxy Note 7, which seriously damaged its reputation. Hence, the company may not take changing battery tech quite lightly, and we might hear the conventional tech to live on further too.

A user managed to check the temperature of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which registered over 100-degree Fahrenheit. The model is getting warm even without using it as well as sometimes minutes after connecting the USB C-Type charging cable.
Notably, Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max is equipped with A17 Pro chipset. This processor is manufactured by Taiwan’s TSMC on the cutting-edge 3nm process technology. Apple recommends users not charge their iPhone with Android’s USB C cable, while the overheating reports continue to emerge.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 series in February, while the Galaxy S24 series is reportedly coming earlier. Recently, Korean media reported that the parts production for Samsung’s Galaxy S24 smartphones could begin in mid-October.
According to a reliable source, Samsung may launch the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024. The tipster claims the devices may be unveiled around January 18, but it’s not confirmed. Notably, Korean media reports that the S24 series will go official a month earlier than this year.

The South Korean tech giant believes that the early debut of its next-gen Galaxy S flagships will help counter the success of the iPhone 15 series. Following the release, Apple is securing outstanding consumer response towards its iPhone 15 series internationally.
Next year’s Galaxy S flagship lineup will present three models – S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra. Samsung appears to be bringing back the in-house Exynos 2400 chipset, but the Ultra will solely use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, manufactured by TSMC.
