Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus deal

One UI 8 is expected to upgrade Samsung Messages with some new features from Google Messages. Over the past few years, the company promoted Google Messages over its own version, but it’s not going to sunset anytime soon.

Samsung Messages APK teardown reveals One UI 8 will bring new features to the app.

With the next major upgrade, Samsung Messages could add a Birthday Reminders feature. When used, it would “notify users of a saved contact’s birthday and prompt them to send wishes.”

Galaxy users may also be allowed to share their live location with contacts via Samsung Messages. The app’s One UI 8 iteration is expected to add support for live location sharing with contacts.

Real-time location sharing via Samsung Messages might rely on the Samsung Find app, requiring you to log in with your Samsung Account.

Live location sharing feature would have smart tools for user convenience, such as sharing invitation, revoke sharing permissions, and keep sharing indefinitely, as well as getting decline alerts.
