WhatsApp new feature

WhatsApp is testing a new feature with the latest beta update version 2.24.26.9, which will allow users to translate chat messages and channel updates. This feature is currently under development and will be available for beta users soon.

The new translation feature will let users automatically translate all incoming messages or choose to translate specific messages individually. This will help users better understand messages written in different languages to make it easier to communicate with people from around the world.

Notably, the message translations will happen directly on your device, without sending any data to third-party services. This means WhatsApp can maintain its end-to-end encryption to ensure privacy.

The translation feature will also work offline. For that, users can download language packs in advance to allow them to translate messages even when they don’t have an internet connection.

Through this feature, WhatsApp plans to make the translation process quick and simple. But you can’t use WhatsApp fucntions without the internet like sending or receiving messages, watching status, and more. Still, you will soon be able to translate received messages offline.

However, keep in mind that the translations might not always be perfect, as they will be processed offline and may have occasional errors.  Stay tuned for more updates.

Samsung responds to Android Auto complaints in One UI 7 Beta

Google Maps Android Auto

Samsung users reported having Android Auto compatibility issues in One UI 7 Beta. The automotive platform keeps disconnected, ruining the experience. Samsung acknowledged the issue and shared some steps for consumers to follow.

Some One UI 7 participants reported compatibility issues with Android Auto. The system randomly disconnects and reconnects during navigation. After reconnecting, the interface defaults to the car’s home screen, requiring users to manually relaunch.

Samsung community moderator believes that the problem may stem from incompatibility between the car’s Android Auto version and the One UI 7 Beta. The official version will be fully compatible and you will have no incompatibility concerns.

In addition, the moderator urged affected users to submit an error report via the Samsung Members app. User feedback is important during the Beta testing of the upcoming software, here’s how to submit an error report:

  1. Open Samsung Members: Launch the app on your phone.
  2. Access Beta Feedback: Navigate to One UI Beta Program > Beta Feedback.
  3. Attach Relevant Information: Include screenshots or recordings of the issue, if possible.
  4. Send System Logs: Ensure the option to “Send system log data” is checked.
  5. Timely Submission: Submit the report within 15 minutes of reproducing the issue for accurate log data collection.

Meanwhile, we suggest you keep the Android Auto application updated. You can try clearing the app cache and restarting the device to see if it addresses the issue. Don’t forget to help other users by sharing a workaround if you discover.
