Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 gets new software update, raise to wake gesture bug fixed?

Last month, Samsung rolled out a big featured-rich update for the Galaxy Watch 4 customers, which reportedly damaged the ‘raise to wake’ gesture of the device. Now the company is dispatching a new software update for Galaxy Watch 4 wearables, does it fixes the raise to wake gesture bug?
Samsung is releasing the second January 2023 Android security patch update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic Bluetooth variant. The official changelog for this update only mentions improvements for system security and stability, however, there seems a chance that it also carries a fix for the known raise to wake gesture issue for the Galaxy Watch 4 customers.

Raise to wake issue:
Various users of Galaxy Watch 4, as well as Watch 5, has reported irregular behavior of the raise to wake feature of their watches. Every time they lift their wrist to wake up the watch, the screen turns off almost immediately.
It only stays on for a couple of seconds, leaving users unable to see the time properly. Nothing was detected even after full diagnostics on the watch. Hopefully, the latest update for the watch has resolved this problem and fixed this useful feature.
Anyways, the fresh software update for Galaxy Watch 4 Bletooth series is currently live in South Korea. However, the company should not take much time in spreading it to more users. The software version of this update ends with GWB1.
You can now check if the update is available for your smartwatch. To do so, go to Galaxy wearable app on a connected Android phone and navigate to Watch settings >> Watch software update >> Download and install.
If an update is available, tap the “Update now” option, and on the Watch software update’ screen, tap “Install now”.

Ahead of the release, a reliable source revealed that Samsung is preparing a big camera firmware for the Galaxy S23 series. Earlier, the same source claimed that the company may release a camera optimization update to its latest flagships in late March.
CheckFirm detected the latest test build for the Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone, which bears PDA versions S918NKSU1AWC6 for South Korea and S918BXXU1AWC6 for India. Since the Korean builds appear to be a regular security update, the Indian build may be just the opposite.
Judging from the test build number, the Galaxy S23 series’ next global firmware may not only bring a security patch. As the bootloader alphabet has changed to U for Indian build, the next update is most likely to include under-the-hood changes such as rumored camera improvements.
Apart from the claims of the tipster, there’s no info available regarding Samsung’s next OTA for the Galaxy S23 series. As consumers continue to share their feedback and complain about emerging issues with camera performance and some others, the company will surely apply them in its future moves.
Galaxy S23 Series
