Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus

Jan. 29 – Exclusive Galaxy S23 colors…

Samsung is quite near to launching the Galaxy S23 series, but it can’t stop the official stuff from leaking ahead. In the latest development, Twitter user @Tech_Reve posted press shots with specs sheets of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra in exclusive colors.

Jan. 11 – Original article…

Samsung Galaxy S23 launch is officially scheduled for February 1st, 2023, while a trusted source revealed the design and wallpaper of this upcoming smartphone early. Courtesy of RolandQuandt, we now have official press renders of the Galaxy S23 smartphone along with stock wallpaper.

Starting the rear panel, there is a Galaxy S22 Ultra-inspired vertical Camera arrangement in a Contour Cut design. The vanilla Galaxy S23 smartphone uses triple sensors including a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 10MP telephoto sensor along with an LED flash.

On the front, the Korean tech giant has not introduced the under-display camera technology, but the Infinity-O display delivers the best possible experience. Similar to its predecessor, the S23 comes with punch-hole display, whereas the 10MP front camera is expected to be replaced with a new 12MP snapper.

The source also noted that the Galaxy S23 device has a 6.11-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution as well as an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It has a metal frame combined with a glass cover, which is colored in the color of the back of the housing.

Galaxy S23 Colors:

  • Phantom Black
  • Botanic Green
  • Mystic Lilac (Pink/Purple)
  • Cotton Flower (White)

The overall design of the Galaxy S23 is quite similar to the last year’s Galaxy S22 smartphone. Samsung just refined the design and basically simplified it further, except for the camera design, which is radically revamped. It’s also mentioned in the report that the company may have used high-quality material for the frame.

Last but not least, the official press renders of the Galaxy S23 showcase the stock wallpapers, which look iPhone 12-inspired. In near future, we will get to know more about the smartphone and design ahead of the official launch such as stock wallpapers.

iPhone 16 39W charging is not fast enough to beat Galaxy S24 Ultra

Apple iPhone 16

Apple iPhone 16 reportedly supports faster charging than the iPhone 15 series. The company never discloses charging support in watts on official product sites. Well, the iPhone 16 seemingly supports 39W fast charging, which is still less than the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

According to the info, Apple brought 39W charging support to the iPhone 16 series. Reports are circulating of 45W fast charging functionality. However, practical testing (via IceUniverse) indicates that the max charging speed is 39W.

CQC results suggest that the iPhone 16 features 45W wired charging. This is about 50% faster than the iPhone 15 series, which supports up to 29W charging. Meanwhile, the maximum support is 39W as tested by reliable industry sources.

Samsung continues to bring 45W charging support in select Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S24 Plus, S24 Ultra, and M55 are some of those. It’s not much higher than the 39W but shows Samsung is already ahead of Apple’s boosted charging function.

The newest S24 series is designed with convenience in mind and super fast charging is a key part. To ensure you can make the most of the S24’s rapid charging capability, there are some requirements for that such as compatible adapter and cable.

Packed with a 5000mAh battery, Samsung’s S24 Ultra typically takes around 78 minutes to fully charge from 0% using a 45W charger. Various factors can impact the charging speed and time to get the battery charged 100%.

Next year, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Early rumors indicate that there will be no charging upgrade in the Plus and Ultra models. Yet, we expect improvements in that particular aspect through artificial intelligence.

Apple iPhone 16 Pro

Yesterday Apple launched the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. At first glance, Apple’s “most gorgeous iPhone ever” looks identical to the last three or four models – but a second glance also doesn’t change the view.

The most “oops” iPhone ever

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are the best of Apple. The company doesn’t want to renovate its best, therefore continuing the identical design approach for years. The iPhone 13 Pro Max seems iPhone 16 Pro Max with a silicon cover installed.

Over the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the iPhone 16 Pro Max brings a major innovation. The company ditched the traditional notch in favor of a punch-hole pill-shaped display cutout. This innovation debuted with the iPhone 14 Pro two years ago.

Apple also reduced the thickness of bezels, which is a groundbreaking decision. After the Action Button, the US tech giant debuted another button with the iPhone 16. Entitled Camera Control, it helps users control certain features of the camera.

The most gorgeous iPhone, the iPhone 16 Pro, features a triple rear camera setup on the back. The module is placed on a squarish island with rounded corners. Three sensors accompanied with LED flash and ToF sensor.

Apple continued to uplevel iPhone experiences with each generation. The design changes are tough in iPhones due to the arrangement of components. However, these limitations aren’t impossible to solve but require a will to enhance.

Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design

Huawei officially launched the world’s first Tri-Fold phone, folding Samsung’s dreams. It was previously reported that Samsung will be the first to debut its tri-fold phone. However, the Chinese phone maker managed to win the battle.

Samsung Display showcased its tri-fold phone prototypes at many occasions. Meanwhile, turning the prototype into a consumer product itself a major milestone. Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design became the world’s first Tri-Fold phone.

Featuring dual hinge and triple screens, the Mate XT Ultimate Design can turn into a full size tablet. It becomes as portable as a regular bar type smartphone, offering ease of handling alongside PC-like display offering.

Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design

Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design comes with a huge 10.2-inch screen. Thanks to its form factor, you can use it as a 6.4-inch or 7.9-inch screen phone. It uses an OLED panel with LTPO tech, 1440Hz PWM dimming and 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Screen sizes:

  • Single screen: 156.7mm (length) × 73.5 mm (width) × 12.8 mm (thickness)
