Just a few days and we will meet the flagship smartphone of the year – Samsung Galaxy S23. Ahead of this, the company continuously advertises the products to create more user excitement. Recently, Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy S23 series will use the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for better durability.
Last month, Corning officially introduced the new Gorilla Glass Victus 2 with improved drop performance and durability on rough surfaces. And, the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra phones will be the first to use this glass and take its durability advantage.
For your information, the new Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is capable to last after dropping from heights of up to 1 meter on surfaces replicating concrete and up to two meters on surfaces such as asphalt, thus, making the Samsung Galaxy S23 phone tough and last longer.
At the same time, the company also claims that this glass can survive a scratch at a force of 8 Newtons (i.e. 8 kilogram-meters per second squared). However, the exact robustness can only be cleared when the phones will launch and go through various durability tests.

Apple to reduce iPhone 15 ‘hotness’ w/ new iOS 17 update
Apple’s newly released iPhone 15 Pro models evolved controversial over the heating problems. Various users complain that their device gets warm even without heavy usage. Well, Apple has finally decided to acknowledge overheating issues with the iPhone 15 Pro.
The iPhone maker issued a statement via Forbes, as to how it plans to address the problems. Apple has finally acknowledged that the iPhone 15 Pro series is having overheating problems. The company will release a new iOS 17 update for the devices soon.
Apple said the following: “We have identified a few conditions which can cause iPhone to run warmer than expected. The device may feel warmer during the first few days after setting up or restoring the device because of increased background activity”.
Apple’s statement notes that recent updates to some third-party apps on iOS 17, like Instagram, Asphalt 9, and Uber, overload the A17 Pro chip’s CPU, causing the iPhone to get warmer than normal. The optimization work is underway along with implementing necessary fixes to completely address the problem.
