Samsung is on track: Galaxy phones start grabbing April 2023 security update!

Samsung starts April 2023 security update rollout for Galaxy smartphones. The new firmware brings the latest Android plus One UI patches to ensure the best level of security on your Galaxy. As the rollout has recently begun for the S23 series, you can expect wider availability in the coming days.
Unlike the last two months, Samsung seeded the latest Android patch for the latest flagship lineup, ahead of Google’s Pixel phones running stock Android. The Pixel maker has not yet published the patch details, and at the same time, Samsung is bringing the patch with OTA.
At present, the April 2023 patch is just limited to South Korean users, which was first released two days ago. As April begins today, Galaxy fans won’t have to wait much anymore to grab the new software on their Galaxy device in the international market.
For the Galaxy S23 series, Samsung’s latest firmware brings a long list of changes including camera features, improvements, optimization, bug fixes, and code changes. The same treatment is likely to be provided to the Galaxy S22 series, however, other devices may get just a security boost.
Recently, we’ve created the April 2023 One UI Updates page, which keeps a track of all the new firmware releases happening this month. You can either bookmark the page or follow our socials to stay connected with new One UI update rollouts.

Similar to Google, Samsung has not yet detailed the April 2023 One UI patch, but it’s going to fix the severe Exynos modem-related vulnerability. The company has already patched five of those 6 flaws, while the remaining one will be patched this month.
How to update:
To trigger manual firmware download, open your phone’s Settings, followed by Software update and Download and install. Your Galaxy device will connect to Samsung’s server and find out the latest available over-the-air update in a few seconds.
