Samsung Galaxy S22 FE is alive and it equips Exynos 2300 chipset
The Samsung Galaxy S22 FE that was reportedly canceled is still alive and is now reported to be coming soon. As per the new information, Samsung will launch its two new Fan Editions – Galaxy S22 FE and Galaxy Tab S8 FE with Exynos 2300 chipset at the Galaxy Unpacked 2023.
Tipster RGcloudS has recently confirmed the appearance of the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE and suggets that it will replace the canceled Galaxy A74 smartphone.
The tipster further said that the Galaxy FE series and Galaxy A7x line costs almost the same, therefore, there is no point separating them into two different types. The company will only focus on its Fan Edition as it is more popular than the A7x phones.
Galaxy S22 FE specs:
The new information also reveals some of the key specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S22 FE phone. According to the report, the phone will come with Samsung’s 108MP ISOCELL HM6 camera.
It’s worth mentioning that the predecessor Galaxy S21 FE uses a 12MP primary camera, now the 108MP sensor is a big jump and it is expected to be much better. This 108MP ISOCELL HM6 camera sensor uses smooth autofocus to record every detail of your cherished moments as they happen.
Aside from this, the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE phone will feature an unreleased Exynos 2300 4nm processor, which will deliver improved and faster performance.
The event concept is being prepared, apparently this would be too long for just 1 time
There "might" be unpacked part 2

Vivo X100 Ultra w/ 200MP Periscope beats Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
Vivo X100 Ultra is officially launched to challenge Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra with a 200MP Periscope camera. Specs-wise, this smartphone outpaces Samsung’s latest Galaxy S24 Ultra in terms of imaging capabilities, thanks to the custom Periscope sensor.
The new Vivo X100 Ultra comes with a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 main camera, and a 200MP periscope camera leveraging the 1/1.4″ ISOCELL HP9 sensor co-developed with Samsung. It’s notably the largest telephoto sensor fitted on a phone to date.
The Periscope introduces f/2.67 aperture and an 85mm equivalent focal length. Following its collaboration, Vivo brought Zeiss T* coating and Zeiss APO certification to the X100 Ultra, as part of delivering improved clarity and less fringing at contrast edges.
This monstrous zoom camera brings up to 3.7x optical zoom and 20% improved light sensitivity. Its telephoto macro (a.k.a. telemacro) mode offers 20x magnification. The company also introduced its BlueImage algorithm which was in development for eight years.
X100 Ultra’s 50MP main camera uses a 1/0.98” LYT-900 sensor with f/1.75 aperture and 23mm focal length. It also supports up to 4K 120fps video recording and Dolby Vision support. Besides, the 3rd lens is a 14mm equivalent ultrawide with a 1/2″ 50MP LYT-600 sensor.
Galaxy S24 Ultra…
The Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a quad rear camera setup. The module consists of an advanced 200MP primary sensor – ISOCELL HP2, an ultrawide camera, a 10MP Telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP Periscope with 5x optical zoom.
As the periscope camera is co-developed by Samsung, quality shouldn’t be questioned. This year’s Samsung flagship is equipped with a new 50MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom. However, the 200MP periscope sounds pretty capable and powerful over S24 Ultra’s.

LG Innotek struggles to gain ground in Samsung smartphone CoF
LG Innotek is supplying CoF for budget and mid-range Samsung smartphones this year. Despite the CoF supply chain formed by the Korean govt., Stemco still has the upper hand in overall volume and model-specific volume in the Samsung CoF market.
TheElec notes that LG Innotek is not making progress in Samsung smartphones’ CoF (chip-on-film) market. Back in 2021, Korean govt formed a local CoF supply chain, but Japan’s Stemco still has an edge over LG Innotek in the Samsung smartphone CoF market.
As of 2024, LG Innotek and PI Advanced Materials are still supplying CoF and related materials for Samsung’s affordable phones like the Galaxy A5 series. Pay attention, the lower lineup of the Galaxy A series and Galaxy M series uses the CoG method, mounting chips on glass substrates.
LG Innotek’s CoF production line operation rate is expected to reach around 70% this year. Beyond Samsung, LG Innotek supplies smartphone CoFs to Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi. Notably, G Innotek’s revenue was 20.6 trillion won last year.
