Samsung Galaxy S23 certified by NBTC and BIS authorities, early launch expected
Samsung is said to launch the Galaxy S23 series phones in early 2023. Ahead of this, the devices are going through various certification authorities. Recently, the Samsung Galaxy S23 devices got certification through NBTC and BIS authorities.
Spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma, Thailand’s NBTC and India’s BIS certification listings do not reveal much about upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 phones. There are only a few details that we already know.

The NBTC certification site clearly mentions that the marketing name of the SM-S911B/DS model is Galaxy S23, thereby, confirming all the previous assumptions regarding its name and model number. On the other side, the BIS authority confirms its Indian variant.

Furthermore, earlier all three – Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra models have visited many certification sites due to which we know most of the features and specifications of the phones.
As per the information, Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphones will not come with many upgrades over their predecessors. However, one notable thing is that the devices will worldwide feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, there’s no Exynos processor this year.
Aside from these, the S22 Ultra will face major Camera upgrades with the integration of a 200MP primary camera. Whereas, the S23 and S23+ models will get a new rear camera design.
Yesterday, we saw the Samsung Galaxy S24 series renders that revealed the phones’ design. While the Galaxy S24 and S24+ feature flat frame design, the S24 Ultra apparently brings the narrowest bezel in history. The same source now posted cropped images so you can better understand the design changes.
Samsung has slightly changed the aspect ratio of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This results in changes in the middle frame, and ditches the curved edges, indicating a flat display design. In the video below, you can see the transformation of the S23 Ultra into the upcoming S24 Ultra device.

As you can see in the comparison renders, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has an almost flat design as compared to its predecessor. The company has already reduced the curvature with the S23 Ultra this year, and it’s going to be flat, starting with the S24 Ultra next year.

Samsung recently unveiled its fifth-generation foldable smartphones in China, where they have different names and features than the global versions. The Samsung W24 is the rebranded version of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, while the Samsung W24 Flip is of the Galaxy Z Flip 5. These phones have some differences in aspects like RAM, weight, and wallpapers.
