European Samsung Galaxy S23 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 benchmarks [US]

A month back, US variant of the Galaxy S23 visited Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. There’s good news for European users (via IceUniverse), the Galaxy S23 Ultra carrying model number SM-S918B benchmarked with a highly optimized Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

We are around three months away from the official unveiling of the next flagship smartphone lineup by Samsung, meanwhile, the US variant of the Galaxy S23 has been recently tested on Geekbench with Android 13, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 8GB of RAM.

According to the info (via GalaxyClub), the US variant of the Galaxy S23 visited Geekbench, which is a famous benchmarking platform. The device was equipped with a rumored Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, codenamed Kalama.

Moreover, the benchmark revealed that the device runs Android 13 and has 8GB of RAM. Talking about the processor, the 8 Gen 2 is packed with a core with a clock speed of up to 3.36 GHz, four cores at 2.8 GHz and three energy-efficient cores at a clock speed of up to 2.02 GHz alongside Adreno 740 GPU.

The tested Galaxy S23 smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, Android 13 and 8GB RAM scored 1524 in the single-core test and 4597 in the multi-core test. Do note, it’s just a test version and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is still unreleased, therefore, the performance and efficiency will be improved.

The US versions will surely feature the Snapdragon chipset, while there is still confusion among European consumers about whether they will get Qualcomm’s chip variant or not. Earlier, it was reported that Exynos won’t die and Samsung wants to ship Exynos models in some countries.

Recently, the protective cases of the Galaxy S23 trio have been leaked revealing the rear design of the upcoming smartphones. Furthermore, Onleaks shared a number of CAD renders of these phones that suggest no changes in S23 Ultra while new camera setup in the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus.
