Carrier-unlocked Samsung Galaxy S21 gets Android 13/One UI 5.0 update in the US
Samsung is expanding the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 stable update to carrier-unlocked units of the Galaxy S21 series in the US. The latest update brings a bunch of premium features for the devices alongside new tweaks to the user interface and multiple improvements.
As per the official changelog, One UI 5.0 lets you customize your lock screen in different ways, you can now personalize wallpaper, clock style, notification settings, and more, with live preview all in one place.

The company further brings users more wallpaper choices with the improved Wallpaper and Style section. In addition, it’s now easy to find the right theme for your phone with 16 color palettes and basic colors.

Moreover, the home screen is getting a new stack widgets feature to let you create a group of widgets by just dragging and dropping and the select apps function so that you can create an app folder in no time, shift many apps from one screen to different together, and more.
Multitasking is very easy with One UI 5.0 software, now you just need to swipe your screen to open any apps in a split-screen view, or pop-up window. Meanwhile, managing useful settings is also getting easier with new Connected devices, Modes and Routines, and Security and Privacy menus in the Settings.
Many Samsung apps are also getting lots of new features. For example, the Camera is getting a new Watermark feature, Historogram in Pro mode, Help guide in Pro mode, and more. Whereas, the Gallery is receiving new and improved editing tools, an Extract text from image feature, and others.
Aside from these, the One UI 5.0 update brings the ability to set different call backgrounds for each contact so you easily see who’s calling and the ability to disable RAM Plus so that you can take full advantage of your phone’s internal memory.

For the US carrier-unlocked units of Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra, Samsung is releasing a Stable Android 13 update with One UI 5.0 version number ending with DVK3. You can now install the latest changes by heading to Settings >> Software update.
Samsung has initiated the release of Android 14-based One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy A14 5G smartphone. The update is rolling out in some Asian countries including India and Indonesia.

Users can now copy and paste objects between images, enjoy improved image clipping, and search within the Gallery app. The video editor allows for playback speed adjustments and project exports for cross-device editing. It also brings new lock screen widgets, customizable alarm alerts with AR Emoji, revamped Calendar app settings section, and more.
Overall the update enhances the Galaxy A14 5G experience with creative editing tools, personalization options, and security enhancements to make it a more versatile and secure device.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G smartphone is finally getting the One UI 5.1.1 update, which brings many improvements and new features to the device. The update is rolling out for locked variants in the US.
One UI 5.1.1 update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G comes with One UI build version F707USQU6IWI1 in the US. The latest firmware installs the August 2023 security patch to improve the system security and stability of the device.
Users who have received the notification on their smartphone can get the update through Settings >> Software Update >> Download and Install.
One UI 5.1.1 update for Galaxy Z Flip 5G
Based on Android 13, One UI 5.1.1 enhances the multitasking experience by showing better app previews on the Recents screen, allowing easy switching from pop-up view to split screen, and restoring pop-ups snapped to the edge of the screen.
The update also improves the Flex mode, which lets users use more apps with the Flex mode panel, customize the toolbar, and access improved media controls. It also introduces a new Quick Share feature, which enables users to share files with their contacts anytime and anywhere, and also protect their private content by setting expiration dates and preventing resharing.

It adds some additional changes, such as drag and drop with two hands, app cache clearing, and enhanced memory management.
