On the occasion of Navratri and Diwali festivals, India’s annual festive sale started last week. Samsung took a big part in the sale and offered exciting deals on its smartphone, tablets, laptops, wearables, and other products. Resultantly, Samsung India records over 1.2 million smartphone shipments during the festive sale.
After the festive season sale started in India, Samsung announced that it has sold over 1.2 million Galaxy smartphones in the country through its online sales channels including Amazon, Flipkart, and Samsung.com and that too in just one day. These smartphones are worth more than INR 10 billion.
According to the information, among all brands, one in three smartphones sold was a Galaxy device on the first day of sale. That’s all because of the massive discounts offered by the company on all segments – from budget to flagships, of its smartphones.
Samsung offered the flagship Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S22 smartphones at record low prices through commercial websites. The Galaxy M13 and Galaxy M33 were the best-selling smartphones on Amazon’s Great Indian Festival sale while the Galaxy M32 was also a popular pick on the site.
On the other side, Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sales most sold the Galaxy F13 and Galaxy F23 in the low-cost segment. Whereas, the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S22+ was the top pick for people who wants flagship smartphones.

The Galaxy S21 FE offer is one of the most highlighted during the festive sale. The company has significantly reduced the price of this affordable flagship smartphone. The Galaxy S21 FE (8GB + 128GB) has a price tag of INR 74999, which regularly sells for INR 49999 is available for just INR 34999 during the sale. In addition, there are other banks offers as well.
Samsung Canada honored for providing ‘Best Customer Experience in Crisis’
Samsung Canada has announced that it is honored for providing the best customer experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company has won silver in an International Customer Experience Award (ICXA) for “Best Customer Experience in the Crisis” for its “Stay Home, Stay Safe” campaign.
The “Stay Home, Stay Safe” campaign in Canada enabled customers to stay safe and connected during the COVID-19 pandemic with a purpose-built door-to-door repair service created for Canadian Galaxy users.
Recently, the ICX Awards honored and celebrated customer experience excellence around the world. The “Best Customer Experience in Crisis” category determines the companies that have maintained and enhanced customer experience during the pandemic. Samsung Canada was awarded the Silver Award in this Best Customer Experience in Crisis category.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the Korean company Walk-in Repair Centers were ordered to temporarily close, Samsung presented the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” campaign to continue Samsung’s longstanding commitment to keeping customers safe and connected, while ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service.
“Stay Home, Stay Safe” offered customers free contactless pick-up and returns – for in- and out-of-warranty customers, ensuring peace of mind during stressful and uncertain times. Later, the company developed the service to meet the various needs of Canadian customers across the country.
Meanwhile, to ensure that exceptional customer experience standards continue to be met, Samsung has introduced industry-leading security protocols and is the only original equipment manufacturer in Canada to return devices to the customer’s doorstep within three to five business days.

Glass Onion 2022 ditches iPhones in favor of Samsung phones
Written and directed by Rian Johnson, “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” is a 2022 American murder mystery film, which is currently being shown in some theaters. Compared to its previous part, the Glass Onion appears to have ditched iPhones in favor of Samsung Galaxy Z and S series phones.
As spotted by 9to5Google, the main cast of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” Samsung foldable phones. In contrast, Dave Bautista and Kathryn Hahn’s characters use a Galaxy Z Fold and a Galaxy Z Flip smartphone, respectively.
Moreover, Kate Hudson’s character in the movie is shown using a Galaxy S series smartphone. As the iPhones appear to be completely ditched from the latest part, there are two main reasons behind it; confusing the audience or satisfying Apple’s order that “bad guys cannot have iPhones on camera.”
Back in February 2020, Rian Johnson said that “bad guys cannot have iPhones on camera.” The movie-maker further added that “Every single filmmaker who has a bad guy in their movie that’s supposed to be a secret wants to murder me right now” for revealing this secret.
In the 2019 version of Knives Out, Chris Evans’ character is shown using ProtonMail on Google Chrome browser through Android phone. Aside from this, all other characters used iPhones and Apple Watches. It shows how Apple wants to maintain its clean image in the smartphone industry.
Samsung grasps 2022 C Lab Startup Demo Day to share external startup achievements
The C-Lab Demo Day is also a graduation ceremony for startups that have increased their self-reliance with the support of Samsung Electronics at C-Lab Outside for one year.
The main objective of the C-Labs program is to expand the creative culture within the company by exploring and implementing innovative ideas. Over the years, the C-Labs Inside Program has spawned new Samsung products like its eco-packaging, the Cero Lifestyle TV, and even Samsung Pay.
Samsung 2022 C Lab Startup Demo Day included presentations and exhibitions from C-Lab Outside 4 Startups, Q&A, and networking with the C-Lab advisory panel.
Around 300 people participated in the event. These comprise top-level executives from 20 startups. It included National Assembly members Um Tae-young, Park Hak-kyu, president of Samsung Electronics’ Management Support Office, C-Lab Advisory Committee members, C-Lab officials, and Samsung Electronics employees.
