Confirmed: One UI 5 Beta exclusively available on T-Mobile carrier in the US

In just a single day, Samsung expanded the One UI 5 Open Beta program in three global markets including the US, Germany, and South Korea. It started with the European country Germany and expanded to South Korea and the United States. Well, recently, Samsung confirmed that T-Mobile carrier exclusively opened One UI 5 Beta in the US.

There are two kinds of network services available for smartphone users — carrier branded and carrier unlocked. In case you want to use any operator’s network, you have to go for a carrier unlocked model, however, carrier branded devices offer some native features that are absolutely amazing.

Accordingly, Samsung ships carrier unlocked units in the US, while, consumers can purchase a carrier branded unit directly from their beloved carrier’s website or retail shop. Last year, only T-Mobile and Sprint opened One UI Beta, in addition to carrier-unlocked Galaxy devices in the US, however, it’s happening the same with One UI 5 Beta.

Recently, a Samsung community moderator in the US confirmed that consumers who use the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, or Galaxy S22 Ultra on T-Mobile or a Samsung unlocked device can join the Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta testing program.

The moderator has not revealed future One UI 5 Beta expansion plans for other Galaxies, however, it might also be available for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy S21, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy S20 series. Possibly, the company might open the Beta program for the Galaxy A53, M33 and M32 as well.

Made in India Chromebooks: Google signs new partnership with HP

Google and HP have announced a partnership to manufacture Chromebooks in India, making them the first Chromebooks to be made in the country. The partnership aims to improve the digital education scenario in India by providing affordable and secure computing devices to students and educators.

According to the information, the Chromebooks will be produced at the Flex Facility near Chennai, where HP has been making various laptops and desktops since August 2020. The production of HP Chromebooks starts on October 2, 2023.

Chromebooks are the leading devices in K-12 education globally, with over 50 million students and teachers using them. Chromebooks have built-in accessibility and security features that make them ideal for online learning.

Today, Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai confirmed the partnership through a tweet on X (Twitter). He mentioned, “We are partnering with HP to manufacture Chromebooks in India – These are the first Chromebooks to be made in India and will make it easier for Indian students to have access to affordable and secure computing.

Google Play Console listing doesn’t reveal much about its specs, while its existence is almost confirmed. The Galaxy Tab A9 Plus will feature a 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution display, while the size remains unknown at the moment.
