Samsung One UI iOS beta

Apple and Samsung are two of the biggest rivals in the smartphone market. Apple iPhones have excellent camera quality, long life, simple UI, better RAM management, and others. But we cannot deny the fact that it doesn’t have as many customization options as Samsung smartphones have.

Apple is expected to introduce iPhone 14 series later this year. Meanwhile, a new information has recently appeared online revealing that the upcoming iPhone 14 models will have an Always On Display feature that Samsung and many other Android smartphones have for years.

iPhone 14 Always On Display

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is only one week away where the company will introduce iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, and macOS 13. According to a new report by Bloomberg, Apple’s upcoming iOS 16 will introduce some major changes.

These will include support for lock screen widgets through a new wallpaper format, social network-like Messages app features, as well as Always On DIsplay for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Following the report, the US tech will use the LTPO display technology currently used in its watches to drop the frame rate as low as 1Hz. It will be combined with an OLED panel and this implementation will let iPhone users view the date, time, and incoming notifications without a noticeable hit to battery life.

Samsung on the other hand introduced Always On Display (AOD) to its phone in 2016. The feature is very common for the devices and is perfectly working on the phones. Besides just letting users check time, date, and notification, it also lets users control music, set different wallpapers, clock design, pin messages, and others.
