Samsung S20 Android 13 update Canada

Recently, TWRP (TeamWin Recovery Project) team has added support for two years old Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series smartphones. This new capability for these old flagship Samsung devices will give an extra option of recovery methods and features to load third-party custom ROMs.

TWRP is the most popular custom recovery solution for Android devices. It replaces the default recovery environment that came with your device so you can root your phone via flash custom ROMs and kernels, create full backups, and others.

This is a bit surprising but it is also good that the company is taking care of its old phones too. All Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 phones recently received the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 software system which brought many new features, enhancements, and customization options for the devices.

Samsung Galaxy S23 S24 Ultra Frame

Samsung is expected to hold the next Unpacked event in January next year. After leaked hands-on, new live images of the Galaxy S24 Ultra have surfaced, showing off design changes over its predecessor.

In the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung is not heavily tweaking the overall look and design. While the display is ditching curved edges, the rear design looks a lot identical to the S23 Ultra, which is hard to compare.

As you can see in the image showing the phone’s bottom, the speaker grille has ditched the holes in favor of a single linear cutout. The company has also flattened out the bottom of the S Pen.

Notably, the Galaxy S24 Ultra makes use of a titanium frame instead of aluminum, while other models follow the older frame strategy.

Samsung Under Display camera

Apple completely ditched the display notch with the iPhone 15 lineup this year. Well, Apple is expected to launch iPhone with under-display camera technology after 2026. The company’s camera supplier has reportedly begun the development of under panel camera.

TheElec sources say that LG Innotek was found to have begun advanced development of UPC. The company is developing a special lens called the “Freeform Optic” lens to overcome the limitations of the existing under-panel camera tech – insufficient light quantity.

It is reported that Apple received under-display camera samples for iPhone from related companies but evaluated its performance as unsatisfactory. However, the US tech giant plans to apply Underpanel Face ID to the front of the iPhone before applying UPC.

By applying a freeform lens, the thickness of the peripheral lens can be controlled, thereby reducing the aberration of the optical system and optical module and increasing the light ratio around the optical system and optical module, the image quality of the area can be improved.

It’s worth noting that Samsung has been applying UPC to the internal screen of the Galaxy Z Fold series since 2021. The camera specifications are still low, with the UPC applied to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 and this year’s Z Fold 5 limited to 4-megapixel.
