Samsung to introduce new battery into its foldable smartphones

Samsung Electronics is presently experimenting with the new smartphone battery and is developing them with the new and improved method of pocket stacking. This is the technology that has been used previously in automobile battery making. The new and improved solution provides better performance with more energy density and reduces energy loss.
Samsung Electronics can join hands with ATL (Ampherex Technology Limited). This is the first time that the company is weighing adopting new batteries from a Chinese manufacturer. ATL battery is more likely to be used by LG Ensol and more.

Business analyst says that the overall quantity of the battery that Samsung will procure from ATL batteries is only 5 percent. It is not the decision influencing factor that is going to have any impact on the selling price of the device.
Samsung independently cannot select any of the part makers individually because the original equipment manufacturer has to directly source the part, and this completely depends on the original part manufacturer who is related to this supply chain.
However, Samsung Electronics might prefer this battery in its new foldable smartphone just to diversify the supply chain and reduce the cost of the foldable. They might use the new battery to power its A series and M series models. In the case of the premium device, Samsung SDI will only be preferred.

Samsung to offer more Lock Screen clock fonts with One UI 6

Samsung is working on improving the customization options for its One UI 6 software, which is expected to launch soon for all eligible Galaxy devices. One of the features that the company is planning to add is more fonts for the lock screen clock.
According to the latest information via LockScreen Manager, Samsung is preparing to provide more diverse fonts for the Clock and aims to deliver the feature as soon as possible, maybe in the upcoming One UI 6 Betas.
One of the suggestions that the customers made was to use a clock font that is consistent with Samsung’s UI, instead of a strange clock font.
Apple’s iOS 16 and iPadOS 17 have improved their customization features by making good use of their fonts. For example, they have a clock font that is based on SF Pro Display. Samsung could also make more clock fonts with Clock2017 and Samsung Sharp Sans, which are fonts that Samsung created. It would also be nice to have a thin font option for the current clock font.
One UI 6 is Samsung’s latest software update that is based on Android 14. It is expected to bring many new features and improvements to Samsung’s devices, such as better performance, battery life, privacy, and security. The beta version of One UI 6 is currently available for a bunch of Galaxy devices.
