Samsung explains how Exynos 1280 fulfills the mobile processor for 5G era!

Recently, Samsung unveiled the new A-series smartphone Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G in the global market. Both smartphones are equipped with Exynos 1280 processor, but at the time of launch, the company didn’t reveal the information about the processor.

Exynos 1280 Meet the mobile processor for 5G era!

Now, Samsung has finally revealed detailed information about the new mobile processor. The Exynos 1280 aims to bring significant 5G connections for mid-range devices to Samsung budget devices. This processor provides a lot of room for the devices it uses.

This chipset consists of two Cortex A78 CPUs and six A55 cores providing good processing power to the chipset, but not overkill to the rest of the hardware. In terms of graphics, the 1280 wall-based ARM Mali-G68 has a GPU and can display up to 120Hz at 1080p.

Exynos 1280

When it comes to the smartphone camera this plays a major role in any device, but Samsung has surpassed the Exynos 1280 with its improved camera technology. It can support a 108MP sensor, the image signal processor is capable of handling three input streams simultaneously, allowing full triple-camera support up to 16-megapixels. It also supports 4K video recording and playback up to 30 fps.

The overall experience of the A-series smartphone is very impressive, but in many respects outperforms other Samsung processors. This is not necessarily a bad thing, however, as the Exynos 1280 is not intended to be the company’s most powerful chipset. Rather, it’s a noticeable improvement from Samsung’s already ongoing take on mid-range lines.

Samsung hopes that mobile gamers, photographers, and all kinds of content creators will make the most of processor power. The Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G complimented many aspects of Samsung’s latest budget efforts, so the company hopes to maintain the Exynos 1280 power with all of its future midrange hardware releases.

Samsung Galaxy S23 is coming in early 2023 but some clever tipsters are already talking about the hardware of 2025’s Galaxy S25 series. A new information reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Exynos chipset will feature nine CPU cores, four Cortex-X cores, and more advanced technologies.

Multiple reports, including Qualcomm, have informed that Samsung will exclusively use Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in the upcoming Galaxy S23 series as the company is ditching Exynos due to its poor performance.

Samsung S25 Exynos nine CPU cores

The tipster says that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series’ Exynos chipset will use a tri-cluster, nine-core CPU in a 4-4-1 configuration with four Cortex-X cores, four Cortex-A7xx cores, and one Cortex-A5xx core.

It is likely that the singular Cortex-A5xx core will handle background tasks, such as powering the AoD. An entire Cortex-X core could reserve for One UI and GoS, whereas, the rest will be used for day-to-day tasks, gaming, and other functions.

Meanwhile, for GPU, we expect that the company will bring an RDNA 3 GPU with 8 CUs to make it faster than the iGPU on Ryzen 7000 processors. Aside from these, the future chipset also opts for a 2-6-1 design with two Cortex-X and six Cortex-A7xx cores.
