Samsung US will let Galaxy users self-repair their smartphones

Samsung to provide a customer-first care experience across the country, the company is constantly offering customers more flexible and accessible options to increase their device usage, promote a circular economy and reduce e-waste.

Recently, Samsung Electronics America announced earlier this summer that Galaxy device owners can undertake product repairs for Samsung’s most popular models, the Galaxy S20 and S21 family products, and the Galaxy Tab S7+.

Samsung customer-first cares new self-repair program

The Galaxy users have access to real device components, repair tools, and intuitive, visual, step-by-step repair guides. Samsung is partnering with iFixit, a leading online repair community in this program. More details will be shared once self-repair becomes available.

To get started, Galaxy device owners will be able to replace display assemblies, backgrounds, and charging ports – and return used parts to Samsung for responsible recycling. In the future, Samsung plans to expand self-repair from our extensive product portfolio to more devices and repairs.

Samsung has a vast network of one-day services covering 80% of the United States population, where users can access more than 2,000 locations for mobile products. Samsung has more than 550 ‘we’ got you ‘vans offering personalized service in a 30-60 minute drive – and repair times are usually two hours or less.

In addition, customers can also drop their packages at the local UPS store. The Galaxy smartphone owners can extend the life of their devices with Samsung’s wide range of care options, including:

  • In-person, Same Day Service
  • We Come To You Service
  • Independent Service Providers (ISP)

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Flip 5 June 2024 update India

Samsung is releasing a new update with June 2024 security update for Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones in India. This update is already out for users in the US and the company will soon make it available in more countries.

The latest update protects Galaxy devices against security threats by incorporating the latest security patches for Android and Samsung. It also brings several bug fixes to provide a more reliable and efficient user experience.

June 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 can be identified through the One UI build version ending with CXFA in India. Users will have to download a package size of around 400MB to install the update.

To install the update, users should navigate to the Software Update section found within the device’s Settings. They can select ‘Download and install’ from there to initiate the update process.

Samsung launches Galaxy S24 Ultra in hot new Yellow shade

Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 Ultra in a new color shade – Titanium Yellow. The new colorway is available for purchase on Samsung.com and should be available through authorized retailers too. It’s equipped with Galaxy AI, which will get further advanced next month.

Titanium Yellow color is joining Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra in India. It comes as an additional choice for consumers, beyond the pre-available Standard colors. Besides, Blue, Green, and Orange colors in Titanium feel are also available as online-exclusive variants.

Similar to other hues, the new Yellow is available in three memory variants up to 1TB. Without offers, the 1TB model costs INR 1,59,999, 512GB costs INR 1,39,999 and 256GB costs INR 1,29,999. You can avail up to INR 12,000 discount as an upgrade bonus.

Samsung confirmed a discount of INR 6,000 through HDFC Cards (Debit & Credit). Shopping via Samsung Shop activates another INR 2,000 discount. Another exciting offer brings up to INR 17,000 discount if you bundle Galaxy Tablet.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset. It’s the fastest Snapdragon processor ever made by Qualcomm. Compared to its predecessor, it offers better performance and power efficiency for longer battery performance.

It’s a true camera beast. Samsung’s intelligent 200-megapixel sensor is used as primary camera. You will get three more sensors: a 12-megapixel ultrawide, a 50-megapixel 5x Periscope and a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto. Plus, it features a 12-megapixel front camera.

Galaxy Watch Ultra was briefly listed on the Samsung support website. The company’s first Ultra smartwatch will launch on July 10 in Paris. The listing confirmed that the Galaxy Watch Ultra is officially coming to compete with Apple Watch Ultra.

Recently, 91mobiles spotted the Galaxy Watch Ultra on the Samsung support website in Canada. The official support page for Watch Ultra is no longer available online. However, it confirmed that the Galaxy Watch Ultra will have LTE support and 47mm size.

Unlike other Galaxy Watch lineups, the Galaxy Watch Ultra might be available in only one size. The smartwatch was listed on the support page with the model number SM-L705F. The product is likely to come in two colors: White and Dark Grey with an orange side key.

Recently, it was rumored that the Galaxy Watch Ultra might cost 700 euros. It translates to nearly $750 in the United States, which is a quite high price tag for the smartwatch. Notably, it’s more than double the price of the Galaxy Watch 6, and the upcoming Watch 7.

A new 3nm Exynos processor will power the upcoming Galaxy Watch trio. It is said to offer a 20% increase in power efficiency and enhanced performance. Besides, the Galaxy Watch 7 series and Watch Ultra will come pre-installed with Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch.
