Android 12-based One UI 4 update arrived for Samsung Galaxy A90

Samsung started releasing the One UI 4.1 update to its eligible devices. However, there are still some Galaxies left to receive the One UI 4.0 update. In a recent development, Samsung has started to roll out the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update for Galaxy A90 5G smartphone users.

Samsung Galaxy A90 Android 12 One UI 4.0 update brings a bunch of new features including the Material You theme that allows you to adjust your wallpapers and the theme across all elements, such as buttons, sliders, widgets, notification shade, icons, animations, etc.

It further brings a resizable picture-in-picture feature. If a floating window is getting in the way, pinch your fingers together to make it smaller. In addition, for easier multitasking, you can pin the window options menu to the top of the window to make it easier to access.

Samsung One UI 4.0 lets users manage brightness more comfortably with the larger brightness bar in the quick panel. In addition, the name of the “Media” button has been changed to “Media Output”. Whereas, the revamped Home screen widgets give you more information at a glance.

Aside from the major changes, the latest update also installs the March 2022 Android security patch for better system security and stability. It fixes a total of 62 vulnerabilities, exploits, and threats from Google and Samsung.

While this is just a minor software update, Samsung is preparing a major Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the devices. Yesterday, the company has opened the One UI 5.0 Beta forum for these devices, which suggets that the beta version is coming soon.

The Android 13 is the first major OS switch that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will make in the coming months. After this, the device will receive three more big Android OS updates to provide customers with the most advanced features and technologies.

Samsung’s October 2022 security update is now rolling out for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in various markets. The new Android and One UI security patches are included in the latest software update packed for the Note 20 duo.

Users of the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra “LTE” can identify October 2022 security update via PDA version numbers: N980FXXS5FVI4 and N985FXXS5FVI4.

On the other hand, consumers having 5G models can identify the same update via build versions: N981BXXS5FVI4 and N986BXXS5FVI4 for the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra.

Yesterday, the South Korean tech giant announced the October 2022 security patch details. According to the information, the October update brings fixes for over 40 security vulnerabilities; CVEs and SVEs.

October 2022 security patch now available for Galaxy Note 20 series in these markets:
