Over the evolution, WhatsApp has incorporated many new and interesting features into the application. After some big changes including camera UI changes, message reactions, the company has started working on another big feature known as WhatsApp Polls.

As spotted by WABetaInfo, the new WhatsApp Polls feature will let you create polls within your WhatsApp group chats to quickly take surveys. In this way, you can easily understand all group members’ tastes, desires, issues, etc.

WABetaInfo says that polls will only be available in WhatsApp groups and will be end-to-end encrypted. The following is the first look at the new WhatsApp feature, shared by the tipster:

WhatsApp Polls

The screenshot mentioned above shows that WhatsApp asks to enter the question of the poll to send it to the group. While on the next screen, the user will likely be able to list the options on which group members can vote.

To be mentioned, WhatsApp Polls is currently underdeveloped, which means it is not live for users. The company may soon start testing this feature through the WhatsApp beta testers and will later release it to all users.

WhatsApp Android Screen Sharing

Today, WhatsApp introduced the Screen Sharing feature in its Android Beta activity. Some lucky users have received this new function after updating the Android app to version 2.23.11.19 through Google Play Store.

WhatsApp has reportedly added a new button within the video call control panel. Once enabled, you will be prompted to share your screen with the person connected on the call.

This feature will record and share everything displayed on your screen with the recipient. However, the feature may not work perfectly now as the recipient’s WhatsApp may not be on the latest build of Beta.

In addition, users may notice some minor changes regarding the new bottom navigation bar elements’ arrangement after updating to WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.23.11.19.

Following a successful Beta run, WhatsApp will roll out the new screen-sharing feature and the new placement for tabs within the bottom navigation bar to more users over the coming weeks.

The Meta-owned company officially announced the availability of this feature on all accounts. You now get up to 15 minutes after sending a message to edit it so you don’t have to worry if you did any silly typo.

How to use WhatsApp Message Editing:

The feature works on any chat window (personal/group). All you need to edit the message is open the chat you want to edit the message from. Tap and hold on to the single message and hit the hamburger (three vertical dots) menu.

It will expand the option where the second will let you edit the message. However, keep in mind that this editing tool only allows you to edit message until 15 minutes after sending, and you can edit multiple times within the duration.

WhatsApp has recently introduced its Wear OS application, making it possible to chat through the wrist. Moreover, the company is continuously testing new features to stay rock solid against the rapidly growing Telegram.
