Google Messages to bring new SMS filtering categories soon
Google Messages has been testing new categories for the app in India for over a year. It helps users to short out the specific categories in a well-arranged manner, and now Google initiated to release this feature gradually in more regions.
According to the information, the new feature uses AI algorithms to automatically sort your messages into categories like personal, business, offer, OTP, transitions, and more. After grabbing this feature, you will disable it any time through a toggle switch in the Google messages as per your convenience.

Meanwhile, the different categories are enabled on top of the messages list. In addition, users can share the messages and category change updates with Google with that the feature improves its categories.
These new category features help users from the clutter in the inboxes, and they can easily find the specific messages from the different categories. We recommended users update Google Messages via Google Play to check whether they received the new feature or not.
In addition, Google Messages also add the option to automatically delete OTP within 24 hours of receipt. This means you do not have to manually manage your inbox, as Google charges it as an extension of spam protection that moves suspicious messages from perspective to the appropriate directory.
