Samsung is continuously expanding the availability of the latest Galaxy S22 flagship series to more markets globally. These devices are gaining quite popularity among consumers, thanks to the impressive pre-orders program.
In addition to native Google Phone app support, the Galaxy S22 series introduces eSIM feature enabled in the US. Meanwhile, it’s important to mention that the eSIM support is not available for Google Fi.
However, it looks like the future software update will include the feature in order to enable Google Fi to work even without a physical SIM card on the latest Galaxy S22 series.
Aside from this, a Google Fi product expert stated in the Reddit community that the eSIM support will be available on the Galaxy S22 series devices with a future firmware update.
As of now, consumers of the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra need to insert a physical SIM card from the Google Fi network to use it.
Notably, the Galaxy S22 series devices didn’t include any function to directly support Google Fi. At the same time, various Google Pixel phones already support the eSIM feature in the settings menu.
