AR Zone is an incredible camera feature that comes with most Samsung smartphones nowadays. The newly launched Samsung Galaxy S22 with pre-installed One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 has it. And, this article will show you how to use Samsung Galaxy S22 One UI 4.1 AR Zone feature.
AR Zone offers several AR-related functionalities, such as AR Emoji Camera, AR Doodle, AR Emoji Studio, AR Emoji Stickers, Deco Pic, etc. However, some features are only available depending on the service provider or model.

Samsung AR Zone further lets you set an AR emojis as profile pictures in contacts and Samsung accounts. You can choose from more than 10 poses or create your own expressions, use the offered different categories templates, and many more.

- Open Samsung Camera
- Swipe to More
- Tap AR Zone. The following features are available:
- AR Emoji Camera: Use the camera to create your My Emoji avatar.
- AR Doodle: Enhance videos by adding line drawings or handwriting to your environment. AR Doodle tracks faces and space so they move with you.
- AR Emoji Studio: Use AR tools to create and customize your My Emoji avatar.
- AR Emoji Stickers: Add AR stickers to your My Emoji avatar.
- Deco Pic: Decorate photos or videos in real-time with the camera.
AR Emoji Camera:
- Head over to the AR Zone on your phone’s camera.
- Click on AR Emoji Camera.
- Select the emoji and the mode you want to use.
- The available modes may vary depending on the emoji you select.
- SCENE: The emoji mimics your expressions. You can also change the background
image. - MASK: The emoji’s face appears over your face so it looks like you are wearing a mask.
- MIRROR: The emoji mimics your body movements.
- PLAY: The emoji moves on a real background.
- SCENE: The emoji mimics your expressions. You can also change the background
- The available modes may vary depending on the emoji you select.
- Tap the emoji icon to take a picture, or tap and hold the icon to record a video.
- You can view and share the pictures and videos that you have captured in Gallery.
AR Doodle:
- Go to AR Zone on Samsung Camera
- Tap AR Doodle.
- When the camera recognizes the subject, the recognition area will appear on the screen.
- Tap the drawing icon and write or draw in the recognition area.
- If you switch to the rear camera, you can also write or draw outside the recognition area.
- If you tap the record button and then begin to doodle, you can record yourself doodling.
- Tap the record button to record a video.
- Tap the stop button to stop recording the video.
- You can view and share the video in Gallery.
AR Emoji Studio:
- Open the AR Zone.
- Tap AR Emoji Studio.
- You can pick a pre-made emoji to get started quickly.
- Swipe to the left or right, select an emoji and then tap the arrow shown.
- If you want to make your own emoji, take a selfie or select an image.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create an emoji.
Create an AR emoji short video and decorate your device with it:
- Open the AR Zone in the Samsung camera.
- Tap AR Emoji Studio
- Select Create a video, Call screen, or Lock screen.
- Select a template you want.
- To change the background image, tap the Gallery icon.
- Tap Save to save the video.
- You can view the saved videos in Gallery.
- To use the video directly, select an option at the bottom of the screen.
Create your contact profile with an AR emoji:
- Go to the AR Zone in the Camera app.
- Open AR Emoji Studio.
- Tap Profile and select an emoji.
- Capture your expression or select a pose you want.
- Tap Done → Save.
AR Emoji Sticker:
- Enter your phone’s camera and click on AR Zone.
- Tap AR Emoji Stickers.
- Tap (+) at the top of the stickers list.
- Edit stickers how you want and tap Save.
- You can view the stickers you have created by tapping Custom.
Deleting AR emoji stickers:
- Go to AR Zone on Samsung Camera
- Tap AR Emoji Stickers
- Click three dots >> Delete stickers.
- Select the emoji stickers to delete and tap Delete.
Using your AR emoji stickers in chats:
- While composing a message in the Messages app, tap on the Samsung keyboard.
- Tap the emoji icon.
- Select one of your emoji stickers.
- The emoji sticker will be inserted.
Deco Pic:
- Open the AR Zone in the Samsung camera.
- Tap Deco Pic. You can find the following:
- GIFs
- Masks
- Frames
- Stamps

Unlock Samsung Internet app’s Secret Mode Now
Samsung Internet app is filled with a Secret Mode browsing feature. Under Samsung Internet, the company created a myriad of features all geared towards helping to keep you and your online experience safe.
Available for all Android phones, Samsung Internet brings user-centric security and privacy features to web browsing, enabling you to freely browse your favorite websites while helping to safeguard your privacy.
Samsung Internet also enables private environments with Secret Mode. This option offers the same browsing experience as you would normally experience on Samsung Internet but with extra privacy and protection.
Secret Mode won’t let cookies and browsing history for any websites you visit be stored on your phone. As soon as you close all the tabs from Secret Mode, cookies and browsing history will be erased, leaving no clue of what happened.
To use this feature, go to Samsung Internet, and from the main screen, tap on the Tab Manager icon on the bottom where you can manage your open pages. Activate Secret Mode by tapping “Turn on Secret mode”.
Privacy Dashboard:
Available within the Quick Access page, the Privacy Dashboard offers a detailed record of weekly activities and settings that can be adjusted to suit your privacy preferences. To find this, go to the browser, tap the three lines icon, and select Privacy.

- While you’re on the video call, pull down from the top of your screen to open the Quick Panel. Pull down again to reveal more options.
- In the Quick Panel, find the Video Call Effects button. Tap on this button to open the settings for video call effects.
- You’ll now see several options to customize your video call. You can change the background, adjust your face effects, modify the color tone, or use automatic framing. Select the options that you like to enhance your video call.
Users with Samsung devices running from One UI 3.1 to One UI 6.0 have to select the video call effects icon directly on the call screen. But with One UI 6.1, accessing these features through the Quick Panel is now simpler.
