Samsung plans to reshuffle its corporate structure to promote, honor new talent
According to the Korean media report, Samsung is planning to tweak its corporate structure. The company is reportedly implementing new versions to promote and honor new talent. The plan is being led by Samsung Vice Chairman Lee Jae-Yong, who recently returned to South Korea after a visit to the US.
This is the executive’s first foreign trip since serving her bribery sentence (via- Korea Herald). Under the proposal, the company will bring in a new personal management system from January 1, 2022. This action also includes the removal of specific requirements for employee promotion.
Currently, an employee is only eligible for promotion after working for at least eight to 10 years. But under the new proposal, employees will go through a “promotion session” that will allow them to review their performance immediately.
Samsung said in a statement that the move would help the company elevate its outstanding talent regardless of factors such as seniority. In addition, the Korean producer will remove the “Senior Vice President” job title entirely and merge it with the position of Executive Vice President.
Also, employees can change their position after working in a particular post for at least five years. There will also be a talent exchange program that will allow employees in South Korea to work abroad.
The company is trying to create an environment that promotes transparency by eliminating some primitive practices. The company ultimately wants to create a “future-oriented work environment” that will provide additional comfort to its employees.

BGS visitors can enjoy Watch Out on the main stage at the Samsung Booth. Games will be played during the intervals of the stage attractions, allowing the audience to compete in quick matches of up to three minutes.
Depending on their performance in the game, participants will be able to take home exclusive SAM items, such as sweatshirts, mousepads, and pins. It’s pretty interactive activity that the Korean tech giant has prepared for its consumers in Latin America.
