New Samsung Galaxy S22 series leak shows Note like design for Ultra model
Samsung seems to be working actively on the next generation of Galaxy S flagship series smartphones. Still, the Galaxy S22 series is expected to be officially launched early next year, with some rumors circulating on the web, revealing future details.
Just recently a well-known tipster @UniverseIce published a new photo that suggests screen sizes and screen curves for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
It means, the Galaxy S22 is supposed to feature a 6.1-inch display, while the Galaxy S22+ has a 6.5-inch display. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to have a 6.8-inch display. Further, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ have curved screen edges, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra has sharp edges. Aside from this, the Galaxy S series smartphone usually has curved screen edges, while the Galaxy Note series devices have sharper screen edges.
Undoubtedly, IceUniverse keeps a good track when it comes to preliminary information from the industry and Samsung. Therefore, we can expect a design of the Galaxy S22 Ultra may be closer to the Galaxy Note series than the Galaxy S series.
Galaxy S22 Ultra Specs
Real-life images of Galaxy S22 Ultra confirm that Samsung is going to ship a new Galaxy Note device in the form of Galaxy S. Just like the Galaxy Notes, S22 Ultra comes with a dedicated slot for S Pen, which can be found at the bottom left area.
Aside from this, the 11-shaped camera system consists of four camera lenses including a 108MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP 3X telephoto, and a 10MP 10X telephoto. On the front, it’s expected to feature a Galaxy S21 Ultra-like 40MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, the device will be equipped with Qualcomm’s next flagship SoC – Snapdragon 895 or 898 in some regions, while Exynos 2200 with AMD GPU in the remaining parts of the world. And yes, this lineup will come pre-packed with Android 12-based One UI 4.x operating system.

Samsung may make a big design change with the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra. But a new leak has raised questions about one important part of its camera system.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra has a vertical camera design on the back. For the Galaxy S27 Ultra, Samsung is reportedly planning a horizontal camera bar that stretches across the phone. This would give the new Ultra model a very different look.
Recently, well-known tipster Ice Universe shared details about four Galaxy S27 Ultra cases. All four cases show a horizontal camera design, but their camera cutouts are slightly different.
One of the most detailed cases has openings for the main camera, ultra-wide camera, telephoto camera and LED flash. But there is no clear opening for the Laser Autofocus (AF) sensor.

This has created some confusion. Samsung is unlikely to completely remove the autofocus system. The case makers may simply not have the correct information yet. Earlier leaks suggested that the Laser AF sensor could be placed inside another section of the camera bar.
It is also possible that Samsung has changed the way the autofocus system works. For now, there is no official information from Samsung about the sensor’s exact location. Stay tuned for more information.
Memory crunch isn’t stopping anytime soon, yet Samsung is reportedly considering LPDDR6 and UFS 5.1 memory for the Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra.
If true, that configuration is going to make the upcoming flagships insanely faster and more powerful, but it would come at a cost, probably an unbearable cost.
South Korea-based Naver blogger Lanzuk reports that Samsung still plans to equip the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra with faster memory, including LPDDR6 DRAM and UFS 5.1 NAND Flash storage.
The source also revealed the potential memory configurations of all models. Galaxy S27 Pro could get 1TB paired with 12GB RAM, while the Galaxy S27 Ultra could retain 16GB RAM with its 1TB internal storage option.
Samsung LPDDR6
Samsung’s LPDDR6 DRAM supports high-speed data transfer, expanded I/O, and intelligent power management through technologies such as DVFS and Dynamic Efficiency Mode.
The company says LPDDR6 can deliver up to 21% better energy efficiency than LPDDR5X, while providing the bandwidth needed for advanced on-device AI applications.
UFS 5.1
UFS 5.1 NAND flash storage is reportedly being considered for upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra models, although Samsung has not confirmed the specification.
The newer storage standard is expected to improve data-transfer speeds, responsiveness, and efficiency over UFS 4.0, making it better suited for large apps, high-resolution media, and demanding on-device AI workloads.
Samsung may increase the prices of its upcoming flagship phones. Apple has reportedly accepted Samsung’s revised memory pricing proposal with a significant hike, and the shift could not leave Samsung’s mobile business unaffected.
Apple iPhone 18 Pro series is facing a refund demand crisis in South Korea, amid surging reports of issues linked to the Face ID function. Apple is preparing a firmware update, while buyers are being assisted through AppleCare as well.
According to Herald Economy, Apple Korea told the office of People Power Party lawmaker Kim Jang-gyeom that it is investigating the so-called “panic-full” issue and plans to address it through a software update.
The issue involves the iPhone freezing, shutting down, and automatically restarting, leaving a “panic-full” entry in the device’s analytics data.
Multiple reports have linked the crash to failed Face ID authentication, particularly when unlocking protected apps or using Apple Pay. 9to5Mac also reproduced a Face ID-related reboot on an iPhone 18 Pro, although the scope of the problem remains unclear.
Some affected owners have reportedly received device replacements, while others chose refunds after experiencing repeated crashes.
The timing has naturally raised questions about iOS 27, particularly because the iPhone 18 Pro introduces a redesigned Face ID system. However, Apple has not confirmed that iOS 27 or the Face ID hardware is responsible.
If the upcoming patch resolves the iPhone 18 Pro crashes, it would point more strongly toward a software-related cause.
For now, Apple has not provided a release date for the fix. Early buyers will be watching closely to see whether the update ends the panic-full cycle or whether affected devices require further service.
Samsung is getting ready to launch its new premium tablets, the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, on October 7. Now, official images of the two new tablets have appeared online.
In a first look shared by WinFuture, the new tablets look very similar to Samsung’s previous models. The company has made only a few changes to the design. The Galaxy Tab S12+ is also important because Samsung is bringing back the Plus model after two years.
The Galaxy Tab S12+ has a 12.6-inch display. One major change is on the back. The previous Galaxy Tab S10+ had two rear cameras, but the new Tab S12+ has only one 13-megapixel main camera.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra also has a similar design to its predecessor. Its camera area has been changed slightly, but the difference is very small. The tablet also gets an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera along with the 13-megapixel main camera. Both tablets have a 12-megapixel front camera and can record videos in up to 4K quality.

The main changes are inside the tablets. Samsung is expected to use MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 processor. The chip can reach speeds of up to 4.21GHz. Both tablets will reportedly come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. The Ultra model will also have a higher version with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The tablets will have large batteries. The Tab S12+ has a 10,600mAh battery, while the Ultra has an 11,600mAh battery. Both support 45W fast charging.
The Galaxy Tab S12+ will start at €1,299, while the Tab S12 Ultra will start at €1,539. Both tablets will come in gray and silver colors and will have IP68 water and dust resistance.

The tablet could also have an 11,600mAh battery, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. These specifications would make it one of Samsung’s most powerful tablets.
Battery information has also leaked through EU Energy Labels. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is reportedly rated for up to 88 hours and 54 minutes of battery endurance. The Galaxy Tab S12 Plus is said to offer around 80 hours and 34 minutes.
Both models are also expected to have IP68 protection against dust and water. Their batteries are reportedly rated for up to 1,200 charging cycles.
Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Tab S12 series on October 7. More details are expected before the official announcement.
