From here you can check your current version and whether it is beta or stable. Really, a small change but now you will not be confused with the status of the WhatsApp version.

How you can check?

  • Open your WhatsApp Account
  • Head to WhatsApp Settings section
  • Now select the last option- Help
  • Again tap on the last option- App info

This feature is available for all Android users on version. However, if you can’t see it, try restarting your device or you can wait a while. However, iOS users have already discovered this feature about a month ago.

On the other hand, WhatsApp has released the ability to transfer conversations from iPhone to Android devices. However, only Samsung phones are currently supported, but the feature will be made available on all Android devices soon. [Read more]

WhatsApp making Status accessible from the Chat screen

WhatsApp’s traditional Status section became controversial after the Channels feature integration. The messenger app replaced the list form of Status with Instagram-like heads. Well, WhatsApp is now testing the ability to make Status directly from the chat screen.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp Beta for Android is rolling out with the ability to check Status from the Chat screen. Status updates can also be visible in the conversation screen as the status ring now appears around the profile photo within the top app bar.

This change significantly enhances the overall user experience by minimizing the need to navigate between tabs, and improving the process of staying connected with your contacts by viewing their status updates even from the conversation screen.

In addition, this reduced navigation not only enhances efficiency but also contributes to a more user-friendly experience. It’s very important to note that if you choose to mute status updates from a particular contact, you won’t see them when you open the conversation with that contact.

As long as you have available space within your Google Account, WhatsApp backups will continue to work. However, you’ll need to free up space to restart automatic backup in case you hit the storage limit (15GB).

Google’s announcement notes that WhatsApp backup experience on Android will be in line with how it works on other platforms, with the added benefit of Google’s 15 GB of storage available at no charge.
