Samsung fans in India demanding One UI 3.1.1 and September update for Galaxy S20 FE

Samsung S20 FE One UI 4.1.1 US

The Galaxy S20 FE 5G was the world’s first smartphone that has received the September 2021 security patch even ahead of four days of this month. Gradually, the company expanded the reach of the software update to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G users in various countries and regions.

Meanwhile, it looks like that the Korean tech giant has forgotten to send the September 2021 security update to the Galaxy S20 FE smartphone users in India. Going forward, an S20 FE user in India asked Samsung whether it has ditched the smartphone from the monthly update cycle or forgot to release OTA.

To be mentioned, the Galaxy S20 FE devices have received the One UI 3.1.1 features alongside the September 2021 security update, which makes it a big deal ahead of switching to the Android 12-based One UI 4.0. Notably, the device is still eligible for regular monthly security patches.

On the other hand, the screenshot shared by the S20 FE consumer shows that the device has not received any new firmware update for August 20, 2021. According to the user, the latest security patch installed on his phone dated August 01, 2021.

However, it looks like Samsung is facing some issues in releasing a new software update for the Galaxy S20 FE Indian variants. We can expect, the devices will soon start receiving their September 2021 security update as well as One UI 3.1.1 features in India and all remaining markets.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Cases

Third-party cases of Samsung Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra have been leaked. The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus have just a difference in size, while the S25 Ultra adopts a Note-like design without sharp corners and a boxy design.

RolandQuandt revealed the third-party cases of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. We’re already aware of the upcoming flagships’ design. As we approach the 1Q25 launch timeframe, more and more stuff has started to surface online.

The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus cases have vertical cutouts for the camera sensors with a hole for LED flash. The S25 Ultra comes with a P-shaped cutout for the camera due to four sensors along with LED flash and ToF sensor.

The frame’s left part remains vacant, while the right side holds volume rockers and a power key. The bottom area should have a primary microphone, USB C-Type port for charging, and speaker grille (S Pen slot on Ultra variant).

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Release

Samsung officially confirmed the next generation Galaxy S series will launch in the first half of the next year. While the company shared a 6-month timeframe, we assume, the S25 series will be announced in the first quarter itself.

Galaxy S25 Ultra release will mark the end of an era and it’s the “curve.” Samsung’s going to completely ditch the iconic Note design. The next Ultra won’t get sharp corners and curved edge display in favor of durability and easier handling.

Snapdragon 8 Elite will power the Galaxy S25 Ultra internationally. Samsung hasn’t yet decided Exynos and Snapdragon distribution. However, the US variants will solely use Qualcomm’s new flagship Snapdragon chipset.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold SE’s 2nd sale announced after 1st batch sold out in minutes

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition

Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold SE’s second sale will start soon. This comes after the first batch was sold out within 10 minutes. Korean consumers are ready to grab the Special Edition foldable for themselves.

Galaxy Z Fold SE’s second sale will start today in South Korea, as per Samsung. The first sale started with 7 hours of delay due to the validation of quantities. Now, Korean carriers would also be able to sell from their own platforms.

This time, the Z Fold SE will be available for purchase not only from Samsung.com but also from three Korean carriers. You can expect significant subsidies from network partners apart from limited-period early bird offers.

Samsung held the first sale of the Z Fold SE on October 25, 2024. The smartphone sold out in less than 10 minutes during the first sale. At that time, sales were not conducted on the online stores of the partner carriers due to a lack of stock.

The Galaxy Z Fold SE is the thinnest and lightest model in the Z Fold series, with a thickness of 10.6 mm and a weight of 236 g. It is 1.5 mm thinner and 3 g lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 released in July this year.

It uses a 200-megapixel sensor as the main camera, which is also a key highlight. The box, in which you get the Z Fold SE, is also special. It includes a leather case and a 25W travel adapter apart from the phone and SIM tray ejector.

Huawei’s most powerful Galaxy S25 rival arrives this November

Huawei Mate 70

Huawei confirmed its most powerful Mate launches this November. Huawei is set to unveil the Mate 70 series in mainland China, but it could also be available in certain countries in Southeast Asia and Europe.

Samsung lost its foldable dominance to Huawei in the global market. Strong sales in China and intense competition from Chinese brands helped Huawei dominate the market. However, it’s difficult for Huawei to repeat it in the flagship market.

Huawei’s Yu Chengdong confirmed the new Mate lineup arriving this month. It will be the most powerful Mate from the smartphone manufacturer. The phones will also be loaded with the Android-less HarmonyOS NEXT.

Huawei teases Mate 70 series

The most powerful Mate ever! See you in November!

The handset’s launching this month, but the exact date remains unknown. Recent leaks point to a mid-November debut for the Mate 70 series in China. Leaked inputs indicate some stunning technological innovations to look at.

The Mate 70 series is rumored to feature a similar camera design but with additional laser sensors. The conventional fingerprint solution may also be replaced with an advanced ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for faster and more reliable authentication.

Snapdragon 8 Elite is impossible due to US restrictions on Huawei. Therefore, the Mate 70 will be equipped with Huawei’s in-house Kirin chipset, which could offer better performance and power efficiency than the Pura 70’s chip.

In addition, the next-gen Huawei flagships could pack silicon-anode batteries. The 50-megapixel sensor will also be supported by variable aperture. HarmonyOS NEXT is the biggest reason I am, personally, excited about the Mate 70 series.

Weibo’s DCS on Mate 70 Series

As mentioned in September, the Huawei Mate70 series will be launched in November, “the most powerful Mate in history.” What are you looking forward to? A new processor that is more energy efficient? 50Mp ultra-large variable aperture domestically produced ultra-large bottom? High density silicon cells? New fingerprint unlocking solution and active face? Pure-blooded Hongment system?

Huawei’s Mate 70 series will rival the Galaxy S25 series in certain markets. Samsung has negligible acceptance in the Chinese market. And the lack of Android and GMS makes it a far better purchase than any Huawei device.
