For a long time, it’s rumored that Google will launch its first-ever foldable screen smartphone this year. Meanwhile, the latest evidence reveals that the so-called Google Pixel Fold may be released in the fourth quarter of this year.

Reportedly, Google’s Pixel Fold smartphone uses an OLED display with LTPO technology manufactured by Samsung Display. It’s worth mentioning that the upcoming Google Pixel 6 Pro also features the same display but it’s not foldable.

In a recent development, the Senior Director of Display Supply Chain Consultants revealed the arrival of several flagship smartphones with 120Hz refresh rate display in which, the Samsung W22 5G (Chinese Galaxy Z Fold 3) and foldables from OPPO, Xiaomi and Google are rumored.

To be mentioned, the US tech giant has not yet launched the Pixel 6 lineup so we can expect that the company has a plan of announcing the Pixel Fold at the same time. Therefore, Pixel Fold may well be part of the corresponding presentation, which will take place in October.

Notably, in the event of the announcement, the flexible Pixel smartphone will actually act as the only branded competitor for the Galaxy Fold 3 available on the global market. Adjusted for the fact that Pixel smartphones are only officially available in a few countries, of course.
