Google Pixel 6 Pro to feature E5 LTPO OLED, thanks to Samsung!

It’s confirmed that Google will officially release its new flagship smartphone lineup – Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro sometime in October or November this year. These devices will be equipped with a self-developed Tensor processor, using a core combination of 2+2+4.

Meanwhile, a recent report reveals details regarding the display of the Google Pixel 6 Pro which is that a tipster claimed that Google Pixel 6 Pro will be equipped with a Samsung E5 LTPO OLED screen. At the same time, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is tipped to feature a 14.6-inch OLED screen.

Aside from this, the report further suggests that the Google Pixel 6 Pro screen resolution is expected to be 3120 x 1440, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is likely to be similar to the Vivo X70 Pro +, with better energy consumption and higher peak brightness.

Google Pixel 6 Specs

As per the previous reports, Google Pixel 6 Pro is expected to use a rear three-camera design, which includes a periscope telephoto lens, the main camera uses a 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 sensor, and is equipped with 12GB of memory and supports wireless charging.

Speaking about the launch date, well, the official launch date is yet to confirm but several sources claimed that the search engine giant will unveil the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro on the same day of the public release of the Android 12, which could happen on October 4.

Samsung begins 90Hz laptop OLED production

On September 16, Samsung revealed that it has started mass production of 90Hz OLED displays for laptops and they will debut alongside the 14-inch laptops from various OEMs including ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Samsung.

These new 14-inch 90Hz OLED panels are going to show up in the ASUS Zenbook and Vivobook Pro. Those laptops are also going to include 4K OLED panels from Samsung Display in the 16-inch variants; however, those won’t come with the 90Hz refresh rate.
