Samsung Galaxy Buds charging tips

Samsung is getting ready to launch a new pair of budget wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds Core. This will likely replace the Galaxy Buds FE as Samsung’s cheapest earbuds. While the Galaxy Buds Core may not have all the advanced features, it could come with another big advantage – longer battery life.

According to the latest information (via 91Mobiles), the Galaxy Buds Core will have bigger batteries than the Buds FE. These earbuds have been spotted on the Nemko platform, which reveals details about the battery capacity of the buds and the charging case.

The listing claims that each earbud will have a 100mAh battery (200mAh total), and the case will come with a 500mAh battery. Notably, the Galaxy Buds FE have 60mAh batteries in each earbud and a 479mAh battery in the case. This means the Buds Core could last much longer on a single charge.

The Galaxy Buds Core might have the largest earbud batteries of any Samsung earbuds. Even the high-end Galaxy Buds 3 Pro only have 48mAh in each earbud, though they do have a slightly bigger 515mAh battery in the case.

Aside from the batteries, the design of Galaxy Buds Core might be similar to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, with stems for easier touch controls. Also, they will support Bluetooth 5.0+ and may include amazing sound features like AAC and SSC audio codecs.

Moreover, these earbuds will also have touch controls and three microphones on each earbud to help with voice calls. However, it’s not clear if they will have active noise canceling (ANC) or wireless charging. Samsung is expected to launch the Buds Core later this year.

Leak reveals Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic design, Quick Button addition

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra

The latest Samsung leak offers a glimpse into the Galaxy Watch8 series design and features, including a possible squircle shape and a Quick Button for the Watch 8 Classic.

A standout rumor is the squircle design, moving away from Samsung’s traditional circular smartwatches. This shape, seen in the Galaxy Watch Ultra, could give the Watch 8 series a fresh, distinctive look.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will likely debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. Firmware leaks reveal codenames “fresh8” for the Watch 8 and “wise8” for the Watch 8 Classic.

The Galaxy Watch 8 is expected to keep two side buttons, similar to previous models. However, the Watch 8 Classic might add a Quick Button, though without the Ultra’s orange highlight, according to leaked animation files.

Fans of the Classic’s rotating bezel will be pleased, as leaks confirm its return. However, it’s unclear from the graphics if the bezel will be physical or digital. Firmware code also hints at stronger vibration patterns for the Watch 8 Classic.

The Galaxy Watch 8 is likely to come in small and large variants, possibly 40mm and 44mm, but the Watch 8 Classic’s sizing is unconfirmed, leaving open the possibility of a single-size model.

Samsung Health to bring Antioxidant Index feature to track beta carotene levels

Published

Samsung Galaxy Watch Gemini

Samsung is working on a new feature, Antioxidant Index, of the Samsung Health app for its Galaxy Watch. It will allow you to check how much beta carotene is in your body and offer tips for improving your diet.

Beta carotene is an antioxidant found in foods like carrots, sweet potatoes, and spinach. It plays an important role in keeping your body healthy, especially for your vision and skin.

With the new Antioxidant Index, Samsung plans to make it easier for users to see how much beta carotene is in their body and get personalized nutrition advice. The feature is expected to launch in the second half of 2025 with the Galaxy Watch 8.

A reliable tipster @AssembleDebug (Android Authority) has spotted exciting information about the Antioxidant Index feature through the One UI 8 Watch APK teardown. The feature will work by having you press the pad of your thumb against the back of your Galaxy Watch.

Notably, the watch will use sensors to measure your skin’s beta carotene levels. This process is non-intrusive, which means it won’t hurt or require drawing blood. Instead, the watch will scan your skin and give you a reading of whether your levels are “adequate” or “low.”

Through this feature, Samsung is aiming to provide more useful health information through wearable technology. The Antioxidant Index is not intended for diagnosing or treating any health conditions. Instead, it’s there to give you insights into your diet and help you make healthier choices.

To use this feature, you’ll need the latest version of the Samsung Health app and a Galaxy Watch that supports it. It’s expected that the feature will be part of the One UI 8 Watch update, which will launch around the same time as the Galaxy Watch 8. Stay tuned for more information.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 update

A recent leak suggests that One UI 8 Watch will bring the Now Bar (probably with Now Brief), a popular feature from Galaxy phones, to Samsung smartwatches.

Samsung is gearing up for a big upgrade to its Galaxy Watch software. The integration of Now Bar in One UI 8 Watch OS could make accessing information faster and easier.

The leak comes from a teardown of a pre-release APK by Android Authority. It reveals code strings pointing to the Now Bar’s integration into Galaxy Watches.

When enabled, this feature shows real-time, glanceable data right on the watch face. Samsung seems to be tailoring it with customization options. Users might choose between a simple icon or a detailed view with text.

Now Bar on Galaxy Watch could show following information:

  • Contextual Suggestions
  • Maps
  • Media Controls
  • Now Brief
  • Tips on how to use the Now Bar
  • Sports on Google for live sports scores

Apart from this, the leaked APK also hints at gesture-based controls. A “double-pinch” action could open the Now Bar or trigger additional functions when no content is active.

Since this information comes from a pre-release APK, it’s unofficial and subject to change. However, it strongly suggests One UI 8 Watch will offer a smarter, more user-friendly interface.

The update is expected to launch with the Galaxy Watch 8 in July 2025.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 deal

Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8 Watch update promises exciting features for Galaxy Watch users. A new One UI 8 Watch leak highlights a new App Shortcuts system, making it easier to access your favorite apps directly from the watch’s home screen.

The leak, uncovered by Android Authority, details a new Shortcuts app (version 1.0.00.18) in Samsung’s Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch. This app lets users add apps as shortcuts to the Galaxy Watch home screen for quicker access.

Users can choose between two tile sizes—2×1 or 2×2—for app shortcuts. Leaked images from the upcoming Watch OS show how these tiles will appear on the watch’s home screen, offering a clean and customizable layout for apps.

This feature saves time compared to navigating the app drawer. Adding apps to the home screen could streamline daily use, especially if multiple tiles are supported for frequently used apps.
