Latest WhatsApp beta brings bug fixes and improvements for older messages

Recently, WhatsApp released a new beta update (2.21.17.1) through Google Play Beta Program for Android smartphone users. This latest update brings bug fixes and improvements for a better user experience.
According to the latest info, many WhatsApp users were reporting an issue related to the older messages aren’t loading. The problem apparently affecting Android users and iOS customers in equal measure.
It crosses all mobile platforms, and as of this writing, there doesn’t seem to be a definitive solution in sight. However, WhatsApp users can try to work around the problem with a bit of tweaking by downloading this latest update.

On the other hand, you can try few fixes that your smartphone and WhatsApp may not be affected.
First things, let’s come up with a more obvious solution by making sure you’re using the latest version of WhatsApp from Google Play Store. It’s up to you if you want to update your existing app or uninstall it first, but if you want to install clean, you may be able to get results by deleting the app cache.
- Clear WhatsApp cache
- Make sure you have a valid Google account connected to WhatsApp.
- Back up WhatsApp chat over Wi-Fi only.
- Reduce the amount of data WhatsApp has to back up by excluding video.
- Delete existing WhatsApp chat backups in Google Drive.

WhatsApp might allow texting a WhatsApp user without WhatsApp account

WhatsApp might soon allow you to contact a user on WhatsApp even without having a WhatsApp account. To comply with the European Union’s Digital Markets Act, WhatsApp reportedly began making changes in the application, which will bring the third-party chats feature.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.19.8 update embeds a new section dedicated to the new regulations. Since the third-party chats section is under development, it appears empty and it’s not accessible to users.

This third-party chats feature is likely to let other people contact users on WhatsApp even if they don’t have a WhatsApp account. In case someone from Signal wants to get in touch with you but doesn’t have a WhatsApp account, they will still be able to text you.
Third-party chat support is under development and it will be available in a future update of the app.
