Starting this year, Samsung confirmed that it will expand the availability of the S Pen to more Galaxy devices this year. However, the company has once again reminded that more upcoming Galaxy flagship smartphones will come with S Pen functionality in the future.

Until last year, the Samsung S Pen was only limited to the Galaxy Note phones and select Galaxy Tabs, but this iconic function, later on, arrived with the Galaxy S21 Ultra flagship in January this year. At the MWC 2021, the Korean tech giant stated that the S Pen support will be coming to more premium Galaxy smartphones.

In addition, the company has not disclosed such information regarding the upcoming flagship Galaxy phones. Meanwhile, it’s rumored that Samsung will release its next generation of foldable-screen phones this August that will be the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.

It’s worth mentioning that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to feature S Pen support, while it may not have a dedicated slot. Like the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the Fold 3 consumers may have to purchase the S Pen as an additional accessory.

After the suspension of the Galaxy Note 21, Samsung is preparing to fill the gap of these S Pen powered phones by bringing this support to other flagship lineups. At the same time, it’s reported that the rumored under-display camera will not become reality with the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to come with a 6.23-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O cover display and a 7.55-inch foldable Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it could be powered by the recently launched Snapdragon 888 Plus processor.

Are you wondering to own the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3 just because of S Pen, or waiting for the next year’s Galaxy Note? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section!
