Samsung’s next foldable screen smartphone is expected to come with the futuristic invisible selfie camera technology. Recently, it is reported that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature a brighter display than the last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 2, while the S Pen integration increased its thickness.

Now, Samsung insider IceUniverse revealed some more information about the under-display camera functionality. The latest leak suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s under-panel selfie camera will have 40% higher light transmittance compared to the current UDC phones such as ZTE Axon 20 5G.

Higher light transmittance means the camera sensor can grasp more light in order to offer comparatively brighter images and videos with less noise. At the same time, the tipster has shared a screen image that shows the invisible camera might look like a mosaic pattern.

Previously, reports revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 could come with a 16MP under-display camera sensor – IMXx71, supplied by Sony. Although the under-display camera technology is still under development as the invisible selfie camera is not able to present images as well as the traditional punch hole camera.

According to a recent report, Samsung began the mass production of the external elements of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3 and it could be introduced somewhere in August this year, featuring an invisible selfie camera, S Pen support, One UI 3.5 version, and much more.
