T-Mobile’s Galaxy S21 receive May 2021 security update, Camera and Quick Share improvements

T-Mobile started releasing a new software update to the Samsung Galaxy S21 series devices in the US. Just like the international variants, the Snapdragon 888-based Galaxy S21 models also getting the May 2021 security patch over the air.

Apart from the May 2021 security update, this new Galaxy S21 software update brings improvements to the Camera and Quick Share performance. Furthermore, it also enhances the system functions and fixes some bugs for a better overall user experience.

It’s worth mentioning that it is an important firmware update for the US Galaxy S21 units as it fixes Qualcomm’s 5G modems vulnerabilities. However, this update is rolling out in a staged manner to the T-Mobile bounded Galaxy S21 flagships in the United States.

In the last week of April, the Galaxy S21 became the first smartphone lineup from Samsung that had received the May 2021 security patch. After an initial rollout from Europe, the OEM delivered it to more markets such as India, the USA (unlocked), etc.

How to check for updates?

You can check for updates manually by opening device Settings > Software updates > Download and install.
