Samsung TV Plus allows Samsung Smart TV and Galaxy smartphone users to access 800+ channels spanning news, sports, entertainment, and much more globally. Till now, this service is available in 13 countries including the US, South Korea, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, UK, Italy, France, Spain, Australia, Brazil, and Mexico.

According to the latest information, the South Korean tech giant launched the Samsung TV Plus service in India, which delivers consumers of Samsung Smart TVs free TV content, with some ad-supported live channels, and on-demand videos without any need of a set-top box.

Samsung TV Plus Launches in India

According to Samsung, the TV Plus will immediately be live across all Smart TV models from 2017 to 2021 and users will be able to access 27 global and local channels. More partners will be on-boarded soon to make the service more robust.

With the Samsung TV Plus, Samsung TV consumers will get instant access to exciting content across genres such as news, lifestyle, technology, gaming and science, sports and outdoors, music, movies, and binge-able shows, without any subscription.

Eligible models

Samsung Smart TV owners who have a 2017 model onwards with an internet connection are now eligible to access the Samsung TV Plus service.

Samsung TV Plus also available on smartphones

Samsung TV Plus service will also be available on various Galaxy smartphones and tablets with Android 8 Oreo or higher software version. For smartphones, the service is expected to start in April 2021, and the users can easily download from Galaxy Store and Google Play Store.

When introducing innovative services, it is important to keep in mind the changes in consumer behavior during the lock-in period caused by the pandemic, when consumers (especially millennials and Generation Z) began to increasingly explore their TV sets in search of novel and interesting content.

Samsung India’s Director of Services said – “Over the last one year, consumers have been spending more time at home. Their television sets and smartphones have become the centers of their lives, for both entertainment as well as information. We also noticed that consumers now immensely value great media content, reason why we chose to introduce Samsung TV Plus in India. Over the next few months, we expect to scale TV Plus to add more channels and content.”

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra could be equipped with anti-reflective screen technology. The smartwatch is rumored to use anti-reflective coating, an identical feature to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Ahead of the launch, crucial information about the wearable has been tipped.

According to the info, Samsung might pack the Galaxy Watch Ultra with anti-reflective coating on the screen. It would result in a greatly enhanced user experience over rivals. Apple’s iPhone is already defeated by the S24 Ultra in terms of screen visibility and color vibrance.

For the S24 Ultra, Samsung collaborated with Corning to develop an exclusive Gorilla Armor glass. It significantly reduces reflection and features extra durability. The lower the outside reflection, the better the display will screen colors and hues to the user.

Well, the Galaxy Watch Ultra could feature an anti-reflective coating. Whether it will be a Corning glass or coating material developed by Samsung remains to be known. However, it would be a major upgrade to the Ultra smartwatch, making it stand apart.

Samsung will hold the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10. The Galaxy Watch Ultra will launch alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Watch 7 series, Galaxy Ring and Buds 3 series. These products are rumored to hit market shelves in the third week of the next month.
