Back in August 2020, Samsung launched its next-generation smart wearable that is the Galaxy Watch 3. It just six months since the company unveiled these smartwatches and now the leaks for their successors are online revealing that the new Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch Active 4 are coming very soon.
According to a reliable source, the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch Active 4 may be launched in the coming months. It is also expected that these upcoming smart wearables will be introduced alongside the next Galaxy Note flagship. As the company launched the Galaxy S21 series earlier than its predecessors, the Galaxy Note 21 may also be unveiled earlier than the previous Notes.
Aside from this, previous leaks suggest that the upcoming Galaxy watches might come with the support for blood glucose level reading. However, it was also revealed that the Korean tech giant might also be working on providing Google’s Wear OS instead of using its Tizen for its next watches.
Lastly, if you believe in the track record of IceUniverse which is been quite accurate regarding the leaks to the time of actual unveil. Then we can expect Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch Active4 might be launching in the second quarter of 2021. Although an official announcement is yet to made by Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Revolutionizes Running with University of Michigan Partnership
Thanks to Samsung’s research partnership, the Galaxy Watch 6 revolutionizes running with the University of Michigan Exercise & Sport Science Initiative. This collaboration is launched to help runners manage their health and physical activity by providing more reliable and accurate data.
The Michigan Performance Research Laboratory (MiPR) — ESSI’s core research lab — will oversee an eight-month study that uses the Galaxy Watch series to estimate the VO2 max and sweat loss of participants as they run.
The study will compare reference data against smartwatch data from both indoor (treadmill) and outdoor running trials of different distances, from 2.5km to 20km.
Runners at all levels grapple with sweat loss, dehydration and heat management, particularly during the summer months. Samsung and University of Michigan teams hope the study’s findings will further enhance smartwatch technology, giving runners more accurate measurements of their health metrics.
