Samsung Galaxy S20 FE devices have surprisingly joined the party with the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 smartphones by grabbing the Android 11 based One UI 3.0 firmware update earlier than scheduled.

Currently, the S20 FE owners in the US are not able to update to the Android 11 version via OTA. Meanwhile, Samsung is now releasing a new software update for these devices which brings the latest December 2020 security patch.

It keeps your device protected against 18 moderate and 2 high levels of CVEs. And also enhances the system features to increase their performance for a better user experience.

The Android 11 One UI 3.0 firmware is widely rolled out for the Galaxy S20 FE, so we can expect that the carriers locked and unlocked models will soon start getting this major update in the coming days.

Here’s how to check for the update manually:

  • Drag down the notification panel and tap on Settings icon
  • Go for Software updates menu then select it
  • Click on Download and install.
