Samsung announced ‘Powering Digital India’ initiative on completion of 25 successful years

Recently, Samsung has announced that the company is bringing another major update to its smart home platform – SmartThings. Samsung partnered with Google to bring the company’s portfolio of Nest products into SmartThings. It will be available on Google Nest products starting in January 2021.

And now, Samsung India largest and most trusted electronics company, today launched #PoweringDigitalIndia, a new vision for the country, through an exciting new citizenship program across the country, with renewed local research and development strategy and special focus.

With the new vision of #PoweringDigitalIndia has been unveiled as Samsung completing 25 successful years in the country and being a shining star in the manufacturing and growth story of India as well as a committed partner in this journey.

Mr. Ken Kang said, “Samsung is committed to work with the Government of India and various state governments to realize their vision of nation-building, digital inclusion, digital empowerment and bridging of the digital divide through multiple initiatives in manufacturing, R&D, creation of jobs and entrepreneurship, responsible citizenship and transformational innovations,”.

To mark the occasion, Samsung India has launched a logo for the new vision:

Samsung launched the world’s largest mobile factory in Noida in 2018, with the aim of making India a global manufacturing hub. The factory was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Strengthening its commitment to India, Samsung has set up the world’s largest mobile experience center at the Opera House in Bangalore.
