The foldable smartphones are the newest invention in the smartphone market that offers both a compact design and a bigger display on a single device. It provides users with more space on the screen for easy multitasking and to be more productive.
At the forum, Jongmin Lee, the executive director of the planning team at Samsung Electronics presented some of the stats about the Galaxy Z Fold smartphone as per the consumer’s point of view.
Managing Director Lee explained that the users mainly purchase the foldable smartphone because of their large screen and easy to carry design and 93% of users said that they were satisfied with the size.
By launching these smartphones in a light and thin design, these phablets will become easier to carry and more convenient to use. Samsung is also rumored to use new technologies in the development of the next generation Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone such as Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) and Under Display Camera.
The current Galaxy Z Fold 2 weighs 282g and the previous Galaxy Z Fold released last year was last year has a weight of 276g. As compared to the weight of Galaxy Note 20 Ultra of 208g, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a bit heavier. This is considered as the foldable devices have many additional parts for their functioning.
Samsung Galaxy M04 India launch scheduled for December 9
Samsung is all set to expand its budget smartphone lineup in India. The upcoming Galaxy M04 smartphone is appeared in new teaser posters which suggest that Samsung will launch the phone on December 9 at 12 noon in India.
These posters further reveal that the smartphone will feature up to 8GB RAM through RAM Plus feature and up to 128GB internal storage. Additionally, it will come with major software upgrade support for two years.
Furthermore, Samsung will launch the Galaxy M04 smartphone under INR 10,000 in India. The exact price could be INR 8999 as the poster mentions INR 8xxx, but we cannot confirm it right now.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Galaxy M04 could sport a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a 1560 × 720 pixels resolution, an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 mobile processor, and a large 5000mAh battery.
It has a dual rear camera setup that may include a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth lens. Meanwhile, on the front side, there could be a 5MP selfie shooter. Aside from these, the phone should run Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box.
Last but least, the company will offer at least two color variants to the users including Mint Green and Black. We might see more colors when the phone gets launched on December 9.
Apple ‘finally’ begins foldable product development: Report
Apple has reportedly begun a 20.25-inch foldable product development project with South Korean display panel makers. As per the report, Apple has started the development of core elements and foldable technology, while, there’s no plan for commercialization until 2026 or 2027.
Since Apple has gradually increased the usage of OLED panels in its products, it’s now entering the foldable segment. TheElec sources revealed that Apple is working on a 20.25-inch foldable product project with major Korean parts makers. When fully unfolded, the product’s screen expands to 20.25 inches.
This huge screen size claim suggests that the product won’t be an iPhone or iPad, and the first foldable screen product of Apple could be a MacBook laptop. When folded, the device turns 15.3 inches, similar to a huge touchscreen tablet.
At present, Apple only uses OLED panels in iPhones and Watches, while other products including iPads, MacBooks, and iMacs use LCD panels. The development project indicates the US tech giant will first bring OLED iPads, MacBooks, and iMacs before entering the foldable segment.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra night camera improved with new test firmware: Leak
Samsung is reportedly launching its next flagship smartphone lineup in February next year. Ahead of launch, the company is internally testing the device and working on firmware development too. As per the recent input, new firmware of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra improved night camera performance.
According to tipster IceUniverse, Samsung improved the night camera performance of the Galaxy S23 Ultra with the latest firmware. It’s worth mentioning that the Galaxy S23 series may come pre-installed with One UI 5.1, which is under development.
Tipster also stated that users can expect even better night shots on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, as there are still 2 months in the official launch. Notably, the company will be shipping the S23 Ultra with 200MP primary camera, which features different modes; 12.5MP, 50MP and 200MP.
