Published

on

Samsung is known for providing its great software services for its generation-old smartphones and the company keeps sending software for smartphones that have already completed their update cycles.

Adding to this story, Samsung has started pushing a new software update for its 2015’s Samsung Galaxy Note 5. According to the information, this latest update for the Galaxy Note 5 is currently rolling out for the carrier-locked devices in South Korea with build version N920SKSS2DTJ2 and a patch size of 74MB.

However, the changelog of this update only mentions security improvements but the Android security patch still dated for August 2018, while there aren’t any changes made to the Android version either.

Talking of older smartphone, earlier this month, Samsung gave a new software update to Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge+ with the same security improvements.

Currently, it’s not confirmed whether Samsung has planned to roll out this update for the global models or it’s related to a specific network or a country.

We’ll keep you posted.
