[UPDATE: Rolling out in India] Breaking: Galaxy S9 series started receiving One UI 2.5, brings latest features

Samsung Galaxy S9 series is now getting One UI 2.5 update in India. The software version of this update is G960FXXUCFTJ2 and G965FXXUCFTJ2 for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ respectively. It also adds the October 2020 security patch.

Samsung initially introduced One UI 2.5 with the Galaxy Note 20 series. This new update has been received by several Galaxy devices including Galaxy S20, S10, and Note 10 series devices.

Now, according to the information coming from RPRNA, Samsung has started sending One UI 2.5 update to the Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones. The software version of this update is G960FXXUCFTJ2 and G965FXXUCFTJ2 for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ respectively. Other than the new features, it also adds the October 2020 security patch.

One UI 2.5 comes with many new features including Wireless DeX, improved gesture navigation, and more. The One UI 2.5 for Galaxy S9 devices currently rolling in Germany and will be available soon in other countries. Recently the Galaxy Note 9 devices started getting One UI 2.5 update.

If you want to check for the update manually, just head into the device Settings and tap on the Software update menu and go for the Download and install option.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 users are finally getting the One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI features in India. This update is already out for users in Europe, the US, and Korea.

One UI 6.1 update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphone arrives in India with One UI build version F936BXXU6FXE3. The installation package size of this update is around 3.1GB.

Based on Android 14, the One UI 6.1 update brings new Galaxy AI features and improvements to provide a better experience. The Circle to Search identifies on-screen items, while Live Translate offers real-time call translations. Chat Assist enhances messaging, and Note Assist summarizes and formats notes.

Furthermore, Transcript Assist converts audio to text, and Browsing Assist provides webpage summaries and translations. The Photo Assist allows creative image editing, and Generative Wallpaper creates custom wallpapers.

To install the update, you need to open Settings app >> tap on the Software Update >> Download and install.
