WhatsApp

WhatsApp is one of the most loved messaging applications that offers several features and functionalities, therefore, to offer user’s more precise experience, the Meta-based company is giving a little makeover to the app’s calling screen.

Yes, recent information suggests that WhatsApp is refining the interface of its calling screen for a better user experience. With this new enhancement, WhatsApp has replaced the back shortcut with a new minimize button, enhancing navigation during calls.

It also makes the feature more intuitive, as both the back button and the minimize button serve the same purpose of exiting the call screen. This modification addresses user concerns where tapping the back button was mistakenly perceived as ending the call.

However, by replacing the back shortcut with a more intuitive option, WhatsApp simplifies the user interaction process within the calling interface. In addition, WhatsApp also embeds top buttons within distinct shapes to contrast the calling screen’s background.

Overall, by introducing the minimize button, WhatsApp diminishes confusion, providing users with a clear way to navigate away from the call screen without terminating the ongoing call. Consequently, the tweaked interface for the WhatsApp calling screen is currently available for some beta testers and will reach more users in the coming weeks.
