Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra and Pro batteries spotted in new certification listing
Samsung may improve battery life in its next Galaxy S series phones. New certification records suggest that the Galaxy S27 Ultra and the rumored Galaxy S27 Pro could come with bigger batteries than previous models.
The batteries of the Galaxy S27 Ultra and Galaxy S27 Pro spotted in South Korea’s Safety Korea certification database. According to Notebookcheck, the listed battery models are believed to be linked to Samsung’s upcoming phones.
They carry the model numbers EB-BS958DBY and EB-BS957CBY. Both batteries are reportedly made by China-based company Zhuhai CosMX Power Jinwan Subsidiary. However, the photos do not clearly show their capacities.

Previous reports reveal that the Galaxy S27 Ultra could feature a 5,700mAh battery, while the Galaxy S27 Pro may offer a 5,200mAh battery. If these details are correct, both phones will have more battery capacity than the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Samsung may also use silicon-carbon battery technology to increase battery capacity without making its phones much thicker. In addition, earlier reports suggest that both models could support 60W wired charging.
However, Samsung has not officially confirmed these battery details or even announced the Galaxy S27 Pro. The batteries shown in the certification database are pre-production units, so their specifications could change before launch.
For now, the leaks suggest that Samsung may be planning bigger batteries for its next flagship phones. More details should become available as the launch approaches.

Samsung W27 leaked with a stunning blue and gold design
Samsung is reportedly working on a new foldable smartphone, the Samsung W27. The phone is expected to be a more premium version of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and will most likely be available only in China. Although Samsung has not officially confirmed the device, a leaked image has given us an early look at its design.
A reliable tipster, Ice Universe, has shared an image of the alleged Samsung W27 on X. The image shows the phone in blue with gold accents. The camera island on the back also appears to have a gold finish, giving the device a stylish and premium look. The Samsung W27 is also expected to succeed the Samsung W26, which was based on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, Samsung has not confirmed these details yet.
Samsung has not announced an official launch date for the W27. The company usually launches its W-series phones three to four months after introducing its main Galaxy Z Fold models. Since the W26 arrived in October, the W27 could launch around a similar time.
For now, the phone’s price, features, and availability remain unknown. More details are expected to emerge as the launch gets closer. Until then, the leaked image offers an early look at Samsung’s possible next premium foldable smartphone for China.

Earlier leaks suggested that Samsung might offer 8GB and 12GB RAM options for the Galaxy S27 and S27+. The Galaxy S27 Pro could come with 12GB RAM, while the S27 Ultra may offer 12GB and 16GB options. The series could feature 256GB and 512GB storage options. The Ultra model may also offer 1TB of storage.
Samsung is reportedly considering LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage. However, rising memory prices could affect the final specifications. These details are not officially confirmed.

Galaxy S28 may offer better battery life with Samsung’s new 2nm modem
Samsung is reportedly planning to introduce a new 2nm 5G modem in its upcoming Galaxy S28 series to improve battery life and reduce power consumption. The new modem, the M2800, is expected to launch in 2028 alongside the Exynos 2800 processor.
The latest information via The Elec reveals that Samsung plans to complete the modem’s development in 2027. Using a 2nm manufacturing process could make the modem more power-efficient. It also helps future Galaxy phones use less battery while staying connected to mobile networks.
The move could also help Samsung improve its chip production. By shifting modem production away from 4nm manufacturing lines, the company could use that factory capacity to make parts for HBM chips used in AI hardware.
Before the Galaxy S28 arrives, Samsung is expected to introduce the M2700 modem with the Galaxy S27 series in early 2027. Samsung is also reducing the M2700’s physical size by around 4% without changing its manufacturing process.
The Galaxy S27, S27+, and S27 Pro are expected to use this modem with the Exynos 2700 processor in global markets. The Galaxy S27 Ultra will reportedly use Snapdragon chips worldwide.
Samsung is reportedly working to fix standby battery drain, a problem found in some Galaxy S26 models using Exynos chips. The new M2700 modem is said to improve power use through better software and voltage controls. It is also expected to support newer 5G standards and improved satellite connectivity.

Samsung Galaxy S27 series RAM and storage specifications leaked
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 series is already creating excitement among smartphone fans. New leaks reveal that rising memory prices could push Samsung to bring back 8GB RAM as the base option for the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27 Plus. This could be surprising for users who expect more RAM from a flagship phone in 2027.
As per the leaks, the Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus could come with 8GB or 12GB RAM. The Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to feature 12GB RAM, while the top-end Galaxy S27 Ultra could offer 12GB and 16GB RAM options. These configurations may give users different choices based on their needs and budget.
Talking about storage, the Galaxy S27 series could offer 256GB and 512GB options. The Galaxy S27 Ultra may also come with a 1TB storage variant for users who need more space for photos, videos, apps, and games.
The main question is whether 8GB RAM will be enough for a flagship smartphone in 2027. With AI features, heavy games, and demanding apps becoming more common, many users may prefer at least 12GB RAM. However, actual performance will also depend on the processor and software optimization.
Notably, these details are based on leaks, and Samsung has not officially confirmed the specifications. Stay tuned for more information.

Galaxy S27 Ultra leak hints at minimal front-end redesign from S26
Samsung might keep the front-end redesign of the Galaxy S27 Ultra largely familiar to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. A new screen protector leak hints at minimal redesign on the next big flagship from Samsung Mobile.
Prominent leaker @UniverseIce shared a screen protector for the Galaxy S27 Ultra on X, stating it would also fit on the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The screen protector features very thin bezels and a camera cutout. The bezels seem thinner than the previous flagship, whereas the camera hole is a little bigger. Corners remain largely the same as the Galaxy S26 Ultra released this year.
Samsung’s recycling-focused aesthetics don’t mean that the phone will look almost the same. The back panel is going to adopt a brand new design language. Fans are calling it a “Temu iPhone,” but the benefits are worth welcoming.
On the back, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will boast a massive camera island. It captures a significant portion of the back panel, just like the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro.
Samsung is also ditching the legacy 3x optical camera to go ahead with a single 50-megapixel periscope sensor. Meanwhile, the main camera is getting an upgrade to a custom ISOCELL HP6 to fill the gap left by the 3x optical sensor.

The Korean tech giant has already booked the majority of its 2027 memory volume. DRAM and NAND occupied up to 80% by Big Tech, while HBM has been locked up 100%, with a potential price hike of up to 150% in 2027.
This has just guaranteed profitability for Samsung’s memory business, but the mobile division may suffer. Rising costs of DRAM and NAND, along with other components, are forcing Samsung to raise prices and trim promotions.
Forget free storage upgrades, as the launch benefits may focus on digital freebies such as a Google AI Pro subscription along with some other useful platforms.
